Former NFL defensive end Marcellus Wiley is facing a serious legal mess in Florida and Los Angeles, and the fallout has already drawn a blunt reaction from a Cowboys insider.
Wiley was arrested Saturday by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in Florida on charges of domestic violence. According to the arrest affidavit, his wife, Annemarie, contacted police after an alleged altercation at the World Marriott. She reportedly told officers that Wiley threatened her life in front of their three children in the hotel room.
The situation escalated quickly after the arrest. Annemarie filed for divorce and asked for a restraining order against Wiley.
In a Los Angeles court filing, she alleged that Wiley raped and assaulted her during their marriage. She also accused him of borrowing $100,000 from her.
Cowboys insider Clarence Hill Jr. reacted to the allegations on X with a single word: “Damn,” he wrote.
Annemarie, who was a full-time cast member on Season 13 of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” has also requested custody of the couple’s three children following Wiley’s arrest.
Wiley pushed back on the accusations in an X post on Monday, saying he was with his children in the hotel room and denying the claims outright.
“I’m deeply grateful for the love, prayers, and concern for me and my itty bitties,” he wrote. “Your support is fully appreciated.
I completely and unequivocally deny these allegations, and I’m certain the truth will prevail. As you know, I’m usually the first to break down the truth and separate facts from fiction.
“But because this is now a legal matter-and because my greatest responsibility is protecting my babies, who have already been impacted-I have to handle this differently. When I can speak freely, I absolutely will.

This is not the first time Wiley has been accused of sexual misconduct. In May, Rolling Stone reported that four women accused him of sexual assault. Wiley denied those allegations on his podcast.
