Dak Prescott is done staying silent about the turmoil in his personal life.
At Cowboys training camp this week, the quarterback was pressed on the end of his engagement to Sarah Jane Ramos, and he didn’t dodge the subject. Prescott and Ramos had already called off their engagement, scrapped a planned destination wedding in Lake Como, Italy, in March 2026, and emailed guests to say the wedding was officially off.
The split followed a falling-out during the couple’s joint bachelor-and-bachelorette trip in the Bahamas. Reports said Ramos ended the wedding after finding inappropriate messages Prescott allegedly sent to other women through incognito social media profiles. Early internet chatter had blamed a prenuptial agreement dispute, but Ramos herself shut that down.
When asked about the breakup, Prescott kept his answer short and steady: “I’m great. I’m blessed,”
He also pointed to his faith as the thing that keeps him grounded no matter what is happening around him.
“As I said, I’m a follower of Christ. And, you know, just having the faith that I do, it’s always been something, a superpower in a sense, that I’ve had is my faith. So, it won’t change.”
Prescott added that setbacks don’t control how he starts his day.
“I won’t even say it gets shaken just because things happen, things don’t necessarily go my way or the way that I thought they would, doesn’t necessarily affect the way that I wake up each morning,” Dak Prescott added.
He had previously stayed completely quiet about the cheating allegations. In that same stretch, Prescott said, “I’ve got too many blessings to look at my trials.
And I’m just super thankful to that opportunity that I have to be where I am and to have two amazing daughters, to be able to play the quarterback position for this organization and still inspire so many. Adversity is going to come.
It’s inevitable. And if you know how to respond to it, you can respond to it consistently, you can get over it.”
Prescott’s comments came as questions around his off-field situation continued to swirl, but the quarterback shifted the focus back to what he says matters most: faith, family, and football.
On the field, though, the larger conversation around Prescott hasn’t changed much. He owns a 2-5 career playoff record and has never gotten past the Divisional Round.
For all the regular-season production, his postseason runs have ended with critical turnovers and no trip to a Conference Championship or Super Bowl. That’s why the comparisons to Tony Romo keep coming, and why the pressure around Prescott always seems to return.
Once again, Cowboys fans are left hoping this is the year he breaks through.
