The Cowboys’ passing game is drawing plenty of attention, and ESPN’s latest wide receiver rankings only sharpened the spotlight. CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens landed right next to each other on Jeremy Fowler’s annual list, with Lamb at No. 6 and Pickens at No. 7.
Fowler’s rankings were built from feedback gathered around the league, including NFL executives, coaches and scouts. For Dallas, the result is a clear sign that the team’s top two receivers are viewed among the best in the game.
Lamb’s 2025 season was slowed by an ankle injury early in the year, and he never quite looked fully right after that. His regular-season line - 75 catches, 1,077 receiving yards and three touchdowns - marked his lowest production since 2020 in most categories. Even so, the league still sees him as an elite threat.
“With his ability to separate and make big plays, the attention he demands creates opportunities for others in the offense,” an NFC scout said, per Fowler. “He's still on the short list of guys who give you problems consistently.”
A healthy Lamb heading into 2026 has some around the league expecting a strong rebound.
“I expect him to have a bounce-back year,” an NFL coordinator said. “He was never quite the same [last year] off that ankle injury.”
Pickens, meanwhile, earned his place on the list after a breakout season in Dallas. His presence has even led some around the NFL to view him as the Cowboys’ WR1 over Lamb.
“One of the best I've ever seen at the contested catch,” a veteran NFL offensive coach said. “There's such untapped ability there. It's just a consistency issue and where his head's at week to week.”
With both receivers ranked back-to-back, Dallas has the kind of firepower that can tilt a game fast. The Cowboys have Super Bowl ambitions for the 2026 season, and their high-end passing attack is a big reason why.

Cowboys Fans Are Finally Getting Pickens Trade Validation
The George Pickens trade already looked like a bold move for Dallas, and now it has a little more outside validation. ESPNs Jeremy Fowler slotted Pickens at No. 7 among NFL wide receivers, just behind CeeDee Lamb at No. 6, a placement that reflects how quickly Pickens has gone from intriguing addition to legitimate top-end threat. After a breakout season that featured 93 catches, 1,429 yards and nine touchdowns, the Cowboys have reason to feel like they added more than just another pass catcher.
Pickens rise also sharpens the long-term conversation around the passing game in Dallas, where the fit alongside Lamb has been one of the biggest talking points since the trade. Coaches and analysts have been quick to praise what Pickens brings, but the bigger question may be how the Cowboys manage the financial side of it all as 2026 approaches. For now, the on-field partnership looks as promising as advertised, even if the business side is still waiting to be sorted out. [Read more 🡒]
Jerry Jones Just Sparked Another Brutal Reaction In Public
Jerry Jones made a high-profile appearance at AT&T Stadium on Wednesday night for the 2026 FIFA World Cup semifinal, a showcase event that helped put Dallas in the global spotlight as Spain beat France 2-0. The building, operating as Dallas Stadium for the tournament, was hosting its final World Cup match, and Jones was there to take in one of the biggest games the venue will ever see.
The moment also served as another reminder of how complicated Jones public image can be in his own stadium. Even on a night meant to celebrate international soccer, the Cowboys owner found himself part of the show in a way that had nothing to do with the action on the field, adding another awkward chapter to a long-running relationship with the crowd that fills his building. Baker Mayfield Just Reignited Cowboys Fans Eagles Anger
A viral clip from Netflixs Quarterback has given Cowboys fans another reason to revisit the Eagles rivalry, this time with Baker Mayfield in the middle of it. The Buccaneers quarterback is shown jawing with Philadelphia defenders during a game, turning a routine physical sequence into a heated exchange that quickly spread well beyond the original broadcast.
For Dallas fans, the clip lands with extra sting because it taps into a familiar Eagles-Cowboys edge, the kind of bad blood that never really goes away. Mayfields trash talk has also reopened the broader conversation about how far quarterbacks are willing to go in those moments, and why a few words in the heat of a game can travel so far once the cameras keep rolling.
