The Cowboys are gearing up for the new season with a revamped defensive coaching staff, led by their newly appointed coordinator, Christian Parker. After a challenging 2025 season, the team parted ways with Matt Eberflus, bringing in Parker to inject fresh energy and strategy into the defense.
Parker, who previously honed his skills as the Eagles’ defensive pass game coordinator and defensive backs coach, is now tasked with crafting a defense that can stand strong against the league's top offenses, including his former team. His experience and insights are expected to be pivotal as the Cowboys look to solidify their defensive prowess.
Joining Parker is a talented group of coaches: Ryan Smith steps in as the cornerbacks coach, while Derrick Ansley takes on the role of pass game coordinator. Marcus Dixon will lead the defensive line, supported by assistant Demeitre Brim. Chidera Uzo-Diribe and Scott Symons will focus on the outside and inside linebackers, respectively, with Robert Muschamp assisting in the secondary.
On the offensive side, the Cowboys have also made strategic hires, bringing in Kyle Fuller as the assistant offensive line coach/quality control coach and Stephen Bravo-Brown as the assistant wide receivers coach.
