This financial commitment makes it challenging to accommodate a hefty contract like Crosby's. NFL Network's Jane Slater reports that the team is currently relying on Gary to fulfill their pass-rush needs.
However, the landscape in the NFL can shift quickly. The Ravens' hesitation arose after Crosby underwent a physical, but it's possible the Cowboys' medical team might assess his health differently. There could be an owner willing to gamble on a talent as game-changing as Crosby.
For now, though, Jerry Jones doesn't seem to be that owner. At least, not at this moment.
