The Dallas Cowboys are making headlines this 2026 NFL offseason with their involvement in multiple trade rumors. One name that keeps surfacing is Maxx Crosby from the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Cowboys were reportedly keen on acquiring Crosby and made three offers, but the Raiders opted for the Baltimore Ravens’ offer of two first-round picks instead. However, the deal with Baltimore fell through when Crosby didn’t pass his physical, leaving the door open for further trade talks.
This twist means Crosby might still be on the market, and the Cowboys could seize the opportunity to snag him at a reduced price. Cowboys insider Jon Machota shed some light on the situation, noting that Dallas could consider trading one of their first-round picks in 2026. While they initially balked at giving up both, the current scenario might allow for a more favorable deal.
Machota shared his insights on the “One-Star Podcast,” stating, “Trading for Maxx Crosby isn’t off the table. It hinges on their medical assessment of him, but with the price likely dropping, it’s a possibility. The Raiders' public stance doesn’t quite align with keeping Crosby long-term.”
With only the Cowboys having made a concrete offer, the idea of acquiring Crosby for a first-round pick, possibly pick 20, along with a late-round addition, seems plausible. Dallas has been busy upgrading their defense, and adding Crosby could be the final touch to solidify their lineup.
