CeeDee Lamb looks set to be in the mix when the Dallas Cowboys head to Lambeau Field for Week 6’s meeting with the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
After getting banged up on Thursday Night Football against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Cowboys receiver put together back-to-back full practices Wednesday and Thursday, a strong sign his bruised quad isn’t lingering the way it might have after the hit in the second quarter last week.
“As far as the extra days (off), I took advantage immediately. Got a lot of time to rest.
Got a lot of time to get some rehab. So, kind of back to square one now,” Lamb told reporters after practice, via Jon Machota of The Athletic.
Machota added that Lamb is “feeling better” and “not expected to have any limitations Sunday night.”
Lamb left the game against Tampa Bay after the injury, then returned and absorbed a couple more hits, per Machota. It came in a rough outing for Dallas’ offense, which never found much rhythm in a 24-16 loss. Lamb, who had just put up a career-high 17 catches for 189 yards in the Week 4 win over the Houston Texans, was held to nine yards on two receptions and five targets against the Buccaneers.
The extra time off appears to have helped. Now Dallas is hoping its top wideout can turn the page quickly and make a bigger imprint against Green Bay.
Through five games, Lamb leads the Cowboys with 507 receiving yards, along with four touchdowns on 39 receptions and 51 targets.

Jerry Jones Gave Cowboys Fans A Rare Look At His Bigger Vision
Jerry Jones marked his 84th birthday by opening the doors to a side of his world Cowboys fans rarely get to see, giving FOX & Friends host Steve Doocy a tour of his Dallas mansion. The visit mixed personal history with franchise history, as Jones showed off memorabilia tied to the Cowboys past, including Super Bowl trophies, while also moving the conversation toward the clubs present and the work that has gone into reshaping the roster and staff this offseason.
The tour also offered a glimpse of the broader canvas Jones likes to work on, with art pieces and personal items filling the home and reinforcing how much of his life is built around legacy, taste and football. For Dallas fans, it was another reminder that Jones tends to think in terms bigger than a single season, even as the most immediate questions center on how the defense looks and how the coaching changes will settle in. Cowboys Need Two Missing Defenders To Help Fix A Shaky Defense
The Cowboys are still trying to steady a defense that has needed help, and the latest move on the coaching side shows how serious the urgency is. Christian Parker has been shifted to the booth to handle play-calling, while Mike Pettine has been added as a senior defensive assistant as Dallas looks for anything that can sharpen a unit that has not looked settled.
There is also a chance the help comes from the lineup itself. DeMarvion Overshown was limited in practice after dealing with a hamstring injury, and Joey Porter Jr. was a full participant after a recent illness, giving Dallas a possible boost heading into its game against the Green Bay Packers. Both have been on the field only once this season, so even getting them closer to available would matter for a defense searching for answers. [Read more 🡒]
Cowboys Fans Have A Lot Riding On Week 6 Beyond Green Bay
Week 6 brings more than just a date with the Packers for Dallas. With the NFC standings still taking shape, the Cowboys have plenty of reasons to keep an eye on the rest of the league while they try to steady their own position. The playoff race is already crowded enough that outcomes elsewhere can matter almost as much as what happens on the field in Green Bay.
Around the conference, a handful of other games carry real weight for Dallas because they can shift both the wild card picture and the draft-pick math down the line. It is the kind of week where one result in another stadium can change how the Cowboys view their path over the next month, which is why so many eyes in the building will be on more than one scoreboard.
