Bleacher Report’s new ranking of the NFL’s 1,000 best players has Lamb slotted at No. 36, putting him well inside the league’s upper tier and just ahead of Dak Prescott, who checked in at No. 45.
That’s a strong showing for both pillars of Dallas’ passing game. Bleacher Report described Lamb as someone who has “been the life force of the Dallas Cowboys ' passing offense for a few years now.
Finally, they gave him an equal running mate in George Pickens.” The outlet also called him “a do-it-all playmaker for Dallas,” adding, “Whether he's running NBA crossover routes to fool and lose his defender or making great plays after the catch.
Lamb is a great option to have as your offense's WR1.”
The praise fits the way Lamb has been used and trusted in Dallas. He can win downfield, create after the catch and make life easier for Prescott in just about every part of the passing game. Bleacher Report did note one area that needs attention, pointing out that “Lamb battled some concentration drops last season, which needs to be cleaned up this season.”
Even with that caveat, Lamb’s place near the top of the list reinforces where he stands among NFL receivers. He’s one of the best wideouts in the league, and that isn’t changing any time soon.
