Blue Jackets Unveil Alternate Look That Could Divide Columbus Fans

The Columbus Blue Jackets' latest alternate jerseys, designed with Fanatics, stir heated debate as they veer from traditional team colors.

The Columbus Blue Jackets and Fanatics have rolled out a new alternate look for the 2026-27 season, and it’s already stirring debate.

The jersey is part of the “Hometown Remix” series, and the reaction is likely to be split. The biggest sticking point for plenty of fans is the gray, which some see as clashing with what the Blue Jackets are supposed to represent.

CBJ introduced the sweater on X with the message: “Introducing Hometown Remix! The city you know and love, brought to life in a way you can wear proudly.”
