Kam Perry Stuns with All-Around Game for Colorado Buffs

Kam Perry's explosive playmaking and confidence inject new energy into the Colorado Buffs' already potent receiver lineup.

At 5-foot-9 and 170 pounds, Kam Perry might not tower over defenders, but his potential impact on the Colorado Buffaloes is anything but small.

“I describe my game as pretty much all-around,” Perry shared after a recent spring practice. “I know I’m a bit smaller guy, but I feel like I play like 6-foot, 6-1.”

Perry, one of four new transfers to the Buffaloes' receiving corps, made waves in 2025 at Miami-Ohio. With 43 receptions for 976 yards and six touchdowns, he averaged an impressive 22.7 yards per catch. Among 214 FBS players with at least 40 catches, he stood alone in averaging over 20 yards per reception.

“You can just expect a lot of big plays, a lot of great catches,” Perry promised. “I don’t plan on dropping the ball at all, so you all can quote me on that. We’re going to expect a lot of big plays from not just myself, but everybody in the receiver room.”

Perry started his journey at Indiana in 2023, a time when the Hoosiers were struggling with a 3-9 record. He managed three catches for 22 yards that season. Transferring to Miami-Ohio in 2024, he caught 10 passes for 166 yards before his breakout year.

Now at Colorado with one season of eligibility left, Perry joins a receiver room brimming with talent. Alongside fellow transfers Danny Scudero (San Jose State), DeAndre Moore (Texas), and Ernest Campbell, plus returning star Joseph Williams, the group combined for 243 catches, 4,049 yards, and 32 touchdowns in 2025.

“Expect a lot of big plays,” Perry reiterated. “We’ve got a lot of leaders in the room.

Even the young guys are stepping up. You can expect a lot of big things out of the receiver room.”

Last season, the Buffs' offense had its challenges, but Omarion Miller, with 44 catches for 807 yards and eight touchdowns, led the way. Williams returns, while Miller has moved to Arizona State, and Sincere Brown has graduated.

Head coach Deion Sanders is confident about the upgrades. “It’s a much better room,” he stated.

“It’s a room that has accomplished a lot more. They’re not jealous of one another, they love to practice, they love to work.

This room is tremendously explosive.”

Perry is a key reason for Sanders’ optimism. The speedster from Atlanta is expected to thrive in new offensive coordinator Brennan Marion’s Go-Go offense.

With his blend of talent and experience, Perry is eyeing a standout year. “I went to Miami and got a couple reps under my belt,” he said. “Now I bring to Colorado this explosiveness, confidence, the ability to just get open anytime.”
