Colorado's Peluso and Oh Stun with Back-to-Back Big 12 Honors

IRVING, Texas - Colorado's dynamic duo, Jess Peluso and Elena Oh, continue to dominate the Big 12 awards scene, snagging the Defender and Goalkeeper of the Week honors for the second week in a row. The conference made the announcement on Wednesday, highlighting their standout performances.

Peluso, hailing from East Islip, N.Y., has been a cornerstone for the CU defense, playing a pivotal role in limiting Cornell to just five scores. This senior has now claimed the Big 12 Defender of the Week title five times, showcasing her knack for clutch plays with a season-high four ground balls and two forced turnovers. Just two games into the season, Peluso is already making waves, ranking third in the conference with an average of 2.00 caused turnovers per game.

Meanwhile, Elena Oh, a sophomore from Chapel Hill, N.C., continues to impress between the pipes. She added five more saves to her tally in Colorado's 8-5 victory over the Big Red.

Oh is leading the Big 12 in minutes played as a goalie and ranks 16th in the NCAA with a 7.00 goals-against average. Her .481 save percentage and 6.5 saves per game top the conference charts, marking her sixth career Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Week accolade.
