Colorado lacrosse is headed back to Folsom Field this fall, and the Buffaloes’ 2026 exhibition slate gives the program a chance to keep building off a landmark season.
The highlight of the eight-contest schedule comes Saturday, Sept. 26, when Colorado hosts in-state rival Denver at Folsom Field. Ralphie will run as part of the day’s festivities, weather permitting, and concessions will be available throughout the event. Admission is free for all home exhibitions.
That venue carries some history for the Buffs. Colorado played its first home game in Boulder at Folsom Field on Feb. 22, 2014, when the team followed Ralphie onto the field and beat Regis, 13-10.
Denver will already be a familiar name by the time the fall exhibition arrives. The teams met twice during the 2026 regular season, with Colorado earning a 9-6 win in Denver before taking an 11-9 victory in the second round of the NCAA Tournament to move on to the quarterfinals.
After the Folsom Field date, the Buffs stay in Boulder for three more fall exhibitions. Colorado’s annual Alumni Game is set for Friday, Oct. 2, at Kittredge Field, followed by a Wednesday, Oct. 7 matchup with Regis at the Ford Practice Facility. The home schedule wraps up against Temple on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Kittredge Field.
The final stretch sends Colorado east for a two-day trip with four exhibition contests in New Jersey and New York. On Saturday, Oct. 24, the Buffs will play three times in New Brunswick, N.J., starting with Rutgers before facing Holy Cross and UConn. UConn is another opponent Colorado saw during the 2026 regular season, with the Buffs beating the Huskies 11-5 at Kittredge Field in March.
Colorado closes the fall on Sunday, Oct. 25, against Columbia in New York City.
The schedule comes on the heels of a 2026 season that put the program in new territory. Colorado went 16-4, matched the program record for wins, won its first Big 12 Tournament championship, and reached the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals for the first time in school history. The Buffs’ run ended in a 13-12 double-overtime loss at top-seeded Northwestern.
