In Boulder, the Colorado women's basketball team recently celebrated a season of accomplishments at their annual banquet, just ahead of senior day. As the Buffs gear up for postseason play, they took a moment to honor standout performances from the 2025-26 season with several individual awards.
Team Awards
Most Valuable Player & Offensive Player of the Year: Jade Masogayo
Jade Masogayo was a double honoree, snagging both the MVP and Offensive Player of the Year awards for the second consecutive year. Masogayo, a senior forward, has been a cornerstone for the Buffs, earning a spot on the All-Big 12 Second Team alongside teammates Jaylyn Sherrod and Aaronette Vonleh.
Her season highlights include a career-best 23 points against TCU and a crucial game-winning free throw. Masogayo's stats speak volumes: she averaged 11.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.0 steals per game, with 19 games scoring in double digits and a remarkable 10-game streak during conference play.
Defensive Player of the Year: Zyanna Walker / Anaëlle Dutat
Zyanna Walker and Anaëlle Dutat shared the Defensive Player of the Year honors. Walker, a junior guard, earned her second All-Defensive Team selection, showcasing her prowess with a double-double against Kansas State and a career-high 24 points against Kansas.
Dutat, a senior forward, also took home the Lisa Van Goor Rebounding Award, setting a program record with 128 offensive rebounds this season. Her 8.1 rebounds per game and six double-doubles highlight her impact on the court.
Sixth Man Award: Desiree Wooten
Junior guard Desiree Wooten was recognized as the Sixth Man of the Year, bringing energy and skill off the bench. She consistently delivered, scoring double-digit points in 27 of 33 games and tying her career high with 25 points against BYU.
Newcomer of the Year: Logyn Greer
Freshman forward Logyn Greer shone brightly, earning Newcomer of the Year honors. Leading all CU freshmen in minutes, Greer was a force with 308 points and a spot on the Big 12 All-Freshman Team. Her consistency was evident with 16 double-digit scoring games and a double-double against Miami (OH).
Iron Buff & Ceal Barry Pride Award: Maeve McErlane
Junior guard Maeve McErlane was celebrated for her dedication and leadership, earning both the Iron Buff and Ceal Barry Pride awards. Her influence extended beyond the stat sheet, as she played crucial minutes and guided her teammates through key moments.
Buff Service & Crystal Ford Adams Awards: Kennedy Sanders
Sophomore guard Kennedy Sanders was recognized for her excellence both on and off the court, receiving the Buff Service Award and the Crystal Ford Adams Scholar-Athlete Award. Despite an injury-shortened season, Sanders exemplified what it means to be a Buff through her community involvement and academic achievements.
