Ken Carman, a well-regarded analyst, recently shared his thoughts on the Guardians’ prospects, drawing a parallel with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers are known for their consistent playoff appearances despite not clinching a Super Bowl in recent years.
“Can I expect a World Series run this year? No.
But making the postseason? Absolutely.
They’re like the Steelers of MLB, and I’d take that over many other teams,” Carman noted.
The Guardians kicked off the 2026 season on a high note, clinching a 6-4 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Opening Day. The spotlight was on rookie outfielder Chase DeLauter, who smashed two home runs in his MLB regular-season debut.
