DAZN is now Cleveland’s direct-to-consumer media partner, with preseason and regular-season games set to stream there along with additional Cavs programming throughout the year.
The big draw is simple: if a game is not picked up for exclusive national broadcast by one of the league’s partners, it will be available live and on-demand on DAZN for local fans. And while the platform is new for Cleveland, the broadcast crew is staying put. John Michael will handle play-by-play, Brad Daugherty will provide analysis, Serena Winters will report and Cayleigh Griffin will host.
The production itself is getting a major upgrade. The Cavs are moving from six cameras to 19, and the new ultra-high-resolution systems should stand out even more with DAZN’s multiview features.
For fans trying to figure out how the service works, DAZN is a sports streaming platform that offers live and on-demand events without a cable subscription. It’s available in more than 200 countries and territories, and it first built its name around combat sports, especially boxing, MMA and pay-per-view fight nights. In 2026, it added regional streaming rights for several NBA teams, including the Cavs, Knicks, Pacers, Timberwolves, Spurs, Nets and Wizards.
The appeal is ease of access. DAZN can be watched through its app on smart TVs, phones, tablets, computers and connected devices, so fans can use it at home or wherever they’re watching from.
There are four main subscription choices for the Cleveland market, split between Standard and Ultimate tiers, with monthly and season-long options in each. The Season Pass Standard costs $119.99 per season and includes every locally produced preseason and regular-season Cavs game live and on-demand, plus pregame, halftime and postgame shows, other Cavs programming and free access to other DAZN content, including international soccer and boxing. The Monthly Pass Standard is $19.99 per month and includes the same content.
The Season Pass Ultimate is priced at $139.99 per season and adds multiple concurrent streams and IP addresses per account, alternate feeds and camera angles, multiview capability, and a one-time 15% off discount code for Cavs Fan Shop. The Monthly Pass Ultimate costs $24.99 per month and comes with the same extra features.
There’s also a seven-day free trial available at the start of the season in the Cleveland broadcast market. On top of that, three preseason games and 15 regular-season games will be free on the DAZN app for local fans who create a free account.
For the inaugural season of the partnership, full-season and half-season Cavs United and Foundation Members will receive a complimentary Season Pass subscription. Quarter-season Cavs United members can get a 25% discount on a Season Pass.
Signing up is straightforward. Fans can go to the DAZN website or open the app, choose their location if prompted, pick a plan, create an account, enter payment information and review the order before confirming. DAZN notes that content and prices can vary by country, so users need to make sure they’re viewing the correct version for their region.
