Former Browns Are Giving Cleveland Fans Plenty To Think About

Deck: A mix of triumphs and challenges marks the journeys of former Cleveland Browns players as they navigate new teams and roles in the NFL.

Not every former Brown has found smooth sailing since leaving Cleveland, and a few are making life interesting in opposite directions.

Martin Emerson Jr. looks like the one who got away. After bouncing back from his season-ending injury, he has opened his new stint with the New Orleans Saints by piling up four pass breakups, one forced fumble, and two interceptions over his first six games. Emerson signed late, on April 29, and did it on a one-year deal worth just $1.5 million.

Devin Bush is also turning heads elsewhere. With the Bears, he has already collected 38 tackles, one pass breakup, one sack, and two fumble recoveries, giving Chicago a productive return on a player whose departure from Cleveland was a tough one.

Not every exit has aged that well, though. Wyatt Teller has already lost ground in Houston after his family made a big fuss about his departure, only to see him benched a month into his tenure there. The Browns, meanwhile, appear to be fine with what they have inside, thanks to third-round rookie Austin Barber.

Dalvin Tomlinson has become more of a trade-watch name than a difference-maker. He has been a non-factor and is on an expiring deal, which may still make him interesting to some teams, even if Cleveland would likely pass.

David Njoku’s situation is tougher still. He bet on himself and landed with the Los Angeles Chargers in a crowded tight end room, but most of his season has been spent on injured reserve, and that has come on a winless team. The Browns could certainly use him healthy again.

Looking at the bigger picture, the organization is in a different place than it used to be. Under the Todd Monken regime, Cleveland has started to trend in the right direction after two strong draft classes, even if there is still plenty left to clean up.

Browns Suddenly Have A New Injury Concern Before Titans Game

The Browns Week 7 injury report brought a fresh layer of uncertainty as they got back to work for Tennessee, with Quincy Williams sidelined by a neck injury and Grant Delpit easing back in as a limited participant after his concussion. It was the kind of midweek update that can quickly change the tone around a game plan, especially with so many moving parts already in Clevelands week of preparation.

Elsewhere on the report, Carson Schwesinger, Elgton Jenkins, Mason Graham, KC Concepcion, Quinshon Judkins and Dylan Sampson all showed up in different practice categories, underscoring just how many pieces the Browns are monitoring heading into Sunday. For a team trying to keep its rotation intact and avoid late-week surprises, the health picture remains something to watch closely as the Titans game approaches. [Read more 🡒]

Browns Defense Suddenly Has A Big Week 7 Problem

The Browns defense is heading into Week 7 with its depth being tested in a way that could matter quickly against the Titans. Linebacker Quincy Williams sat out practice because of a neck injury, defensive tackle Mason Graham has already missed the past two games with knee and ankle issues, and safety Grant Delpit is still working through concussion protocol.

Cleveland has not offered any updates yet on where those three stand for Sunday, which leaves the picture cloudy at a moment when availability matters just as much as scheme. For a unit that has had to lean on its versatility, the next few days will determine whether the Browns are simply shuffling pieces or facing a more serious problem on defense. [Read more 🡒]

Browns Could Make A Bold Move To Fix Their Biggest Offensive Hole

The Browns have put together a 4-2 start to the 2026 season, but the offense still has a clear soft spot, and it is one they have been watching closely. Tight end has emerged as the biggest hole on that side of the ball, which is why any ripple elsewhere at the position around the league is going to draw attention in Cleveland.

Sam LaPortas frustration in Detroit has only added to the intrigue. The Lions tight end voiced his disappointment publicly about not landing a contract extension and then was missing from a recent media session, enough to fuel speculation that a team looking for a proven upgrade might at least check in. For the Browns, the question is whether they are willing to be bold enough to chase a player who could help stabilize the middle of their offense. [Read more 🡒]
