The Cleveland Browns are gearing up for the 2026 NFL Draft, and with just over six weeks to go, they've got a clear picture of their draft position. While they didn't snag any compensatory picks this year, General Manager Andrew Berry has a solid lineup of selections to work with:
- Round 1, No. 6 overall: A prime spot for grabbing a top-tier talent.
- Round 1, No. 24 overall: Acquired from the Jacksonville Jaguars during a savvy 2025 draft day trade.
- Round 2, No. 39 overall: Another opportunity to bolster the roster with quality.
- Round 3, No. 70 overall: Mid-round picks can often yield hidden gems.
- Round 4, No. 107 overall: A chance to add depth to the squad.
- Round 5, No. 146 overall and No. 149 overall: The latter was part of a deal sending Joe Flacco to the Bengals last year.
- Round 6, No. 206 overall: Picked up in a trade involving Joe Tryon-Shoyinka with the Bears.
- Round 7, No. 248 overall: Came from a 2024 trade of Nick Harris to the Seahawks.
The Browns had an additional fifth-round pick, No. 141, until recently. It was traded to the Houston Texans for veteran offensive tackle Tytus Howard.
Originally, this pick belonged to the Raiders, who sent it to Cleveland in exchange for quarterback Kenny Pickett at the end of the 2025 preseason. Despite the trade, the Browns still hold the first pick in the fifth round, now set to benefit the Texans.
As the draft approaches, the Browns are in a strategic position to make impactful decisions. With a mix of early and late-round picks, they have the flexibility to address key areas and build on their existing strengths. The upcoming weeks will be crucial as they finalize their draft strategy, aiming to enhance their roster for the upcoming season.
