Browns See Two Ex Players Sign As Shelby Harris Future Looms

Former Browns players find new teams as offseason moves heat up, while Shelby Harris eyes a potential switch to the Giants.

The NFL never sleeps, and neither do the Cleveland Browns as they gear up for the upcoming season. With the 2026 NFL Draft just around the corner, Browns GM Andrew Berry has been busy reshaping the roster through free agency. While the headlines might not scream blockbuster trades, the strategic additions on both sides of the ball are setting the stage for a promising year.

As the Browns prepare for offseason activities, they're seeing some familiar faces move on. One of those is DT Shelby Harris, who’s reportedly visiting the New York Giants.

After three solid seasons in Cleveland, Harris looks to continue his career elsewhere. During his tenure with the Browns, he was a force on the defensive line, racking up 97 tackles, four sacks, and 18 tackles for loss in 48 games.

Not to mention, he was part of a memorable moment when Myles Garrett broke the single-season sack record.

Meanwhile, former Browns QB Joe Flacco is staying in the AFC North, now with the Cincinnati Bengals. Last season, Flacco was traded to the Bengals and put up impressive yardage, throwing for 1,664 yards in nine games. Despite his efforts, the Bengals struggled with a 1-5 record when he started in place of Joe Burrow.

In another move, former Browns WR Elijah Moore is heading to the Philadelphia Eagles. Moore, who spent last season with the Buffalo Bills, had a challenging 2024 with Cleveland, where he was targeted 100 times. Catching 61 passes for 538 yards and a single touchdown, Moore looks to revitalize his career in Philadelphia.

These moves highlight the ever-evolving nature of the NFL, where teams continuously adjust and strategize to find the right mix of talent. With the draft approaching, the Browns and their former players are poised for new chapters in their football journeys.
