Anderson's playing career took him from quarterbacking in high school to college stints at Contra Costa College and Texas Southern. Post-college, he returned to Contra Costa as a quarterbacks coach before moving up to roles at San Jose State and Cal Poly.
His opportunity with the Browns came through the Bill Walsh NFL Diversity Coaching Fellowship, a program designed to develop coaching talent.
