The Browns kept turning over the bottom of the defensive line on Monday, making a roster tweak that fits the mood around the team heading into Week 1: nothing is settled yet.
Cleveland signed DT Zion Logue to the practice squad and released DT Tyreak Sapp, continuing a string of moves after bringing in multiple linemen for workouts late last week. Andrew Berry and the front office are clearly still searching for the right mix as the Browns return to practice.
Logue brings the most NFL experience of the group the Browns recently evaluated. The 6’6” defensive tackle was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the 6th round of the 2024 NFL draft, and in two seasons, both with the Buffalo Bills, he appeared in five games and recorded four tackles, one QB hit and a half sack.
The other linemen who worked out last week included OT Luke Felix-Fualalo, a 2025 undrafted free agent out of Hawaii who spent last season on the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad; OT Bayron Matos, an undrafted 2024 tackle who finished the 2025 season on the Indianapolis Colts practice squad after walking on for the South Florida Bulls football team following his time playing basketball there; DT Aaron Graves, an undrafted free agent this year who spent training camp with the Baltimore Ravens after playing at Iowa; and DT Kristian Williams, an undrafted 2025 player who was placed on injured reserve last season, later waived, and spent this offseason with the Denver Broncos.
Sapp’s departure gives Cleveland room to keep cycling through options. He was an undrafted free agent this year who went through waivers after spending the entire offseason with the Browns.
