Andrew Berry Stuns Browns Fans With Latest Free Agency Moves

Amid a flurry of strategic signings, GM Andrew Berry responds to Browns fans by reinforcing the roster ahead of the NFL Draft.

The Cleveland Browns have been making waves this free agency period, and it's been quite the strategic maneuvering by GM Andrew Berry. In the first week, the Browns made significant strides by acquiring offensive lineman Tytus Howard, signing Zion Johnson and Elgton Jenkins, and retaining Teven Jenkins. They also bolstered their defense with linebacker Quincy Wilson, among other moves.

Initially, it seemed like the Browns might be winding down their free agency activity. A fan poll earlier this week revealed that 66% of Browns fans were eager for Berry to continue pursuing free agents rather than shifting focus entirely to the upcoming NFL Draft.

Just as the dust was settling, the Browns launched into a second wave of free agency. While there wasn't a headline-grabbing signing, they focused on depth.

Safety Daniel Thomas, wide receiver Tylan Wallace, and defensive end A.J. Epenesa were brought on board, along with re-signing DEs Julian Okwara and Sam Kamara.

They also made a savvy move by signing defensive tackle Kalia Davis, strengthening the back end of their defensive line and shoring up special teams-a unit that struggled last season.

With the NFL Draft about a month away, Cleveland's front office is likely to pivot towards draft preparations, including player interviews and finalizing their draft board.

Despite these strategic additions, the Browns' odds to win the AFC Championship have taken a hit. According to FanDuel Sportsbook, their odds have shifted from 55/1 before free agency to 100/1 now. It's clear that while the Browns are building depth, the betting world remains cautious about their championship prospects.
