Clemson is heading into its first home game of the season looking for a reset, and Georgia Southern is the opponent waiting at Memorial Stadium on Sept. 12.
The Tigers are 0-1 after a rough 51-10 loss to LSU last week, and they’ll try to get their first win of 2026 when they kick off against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on ACC Network. Georgia Southern comes in at 1-0.
This matchup is still a rarity. Clemson and Georgia Southern have met only once before, back in 2018, when the Tigers rolled to a 38-7 win on their way to the national championship that season.
One of the bigger questions around Clemson right now is under center. Dabo Swinney did not name a starting quarterback on Sept. 8, saying only that both Christopher Vizzina and Tait Reynolds will play. Vizzina started against LSU, Reynolds later entered the game, and the two are listed as co-starters on Clemson’s official depth chart this week.
Tickets remain available for the home opener, with prices on StubHub ranging from $17 to $1,356 depending on seat location and quantity. Lower-bowl seats behind Clemson’s sideline are listed from $52 to $80, while lower-bowl seats behind Georgia Southern’s sideline run from $39 to $66. Seats behind the end zone without general admission are listed from $17 to $57.
Clemson’s remaining 2026 schedule includes North Carolina on Sept. 19 at noon on ESPN, a Friday night trip to California on Sept. 25 at 10:30 p.m. on ESPN, and a home game against Miami (FL) on Oct. 3.
The Tigers also host Charleston Southern on Oct. 17 and Virginia Tech on Oct. 24 before traveling to Florida State on Oct. 31 and Syracuse on Nov. 7.
Georgia Tech visits Clemson on Nov. 14, the Tigers go to Duke on Friday, Nov. 20 at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN, and the regular season ends with South Carolina on Nov. 28.
