Clemson WR Tyler Brown Gets Fresh 2026 Opportunity

Clemson wide receiver Tyler Brown is set to seize his returning opportunity, eager to reclaim his star status in his quest for a standout season in 2026.

Clemson's wide receiver Tyler Brown is gearing up for a pivotal 2026 season, eager to reclaim his top form after a couple of challenging years. With Antonio Williams heading to the NFL, Brown has a prime opportunity to step back into a starting role.

Reflecting on his impressive freshman year in 2023, Brown led Clemson with 52 receptions, 531 yards, and four touchdowns, earning Freshman All-America honors. However, injuries and emerging talents like Bryant Wesco Jr. and T.J.

Moore limited his impact over the past two seasons. Now, with Williams moving on, Brown is poised to make a significant comeback.

“I’m hungry, man. I’m still hungry,” Brown shared after a recent spring practice.

This hunger is evident as he takes advantage of increased reps this spring, with several starters sidelined by injuries. This has given him a chance to adapt to offensive coordinator Chad Morris' system and build chemistry with Clemson’s quarterbacks.

Among the quarterbacks vying for the starting position are redshirt junior Christopher Vizzina, redshirt freshman Chris Denson, freshmen Tait Reynolds and Brock Bradley, and grad student Trent Pearman. Brown noted Vizzina's growth, praising his patience and maturity in the pocket.

Clemson's spring game, set for March 28 at Memorial Stadium, offers fans a glimpse of the team's development. The game will follow a traditional split-squad format with standard scoring. While the game won’t be televised, fans can attend for free, with highlights to be aired later on ACC Network and Clemson+.

The scrimmage will feature 15-minute quarters with a running clock, except during two-minute drills, and no full halftime. Unique to this year’s game, some players will wear alternate jerseys, allowing them to play for both teams without indicating injury status.

As Brown looks to recapture his freshman year magic, Clemson fans are eager to see if he can once again become the dynamic playmaker the team needs.
