The Tigers are still working to close ground in recruiting, yet the early signs suggest the class could start coming together quickly.
The biggest name in that group was four-star legacy linebacker Jay Schell. His decision is expected soon, and Clemson has been making a serious push.
Schell visited Michigan in Week 1 and is scheduled to be at Oklahoma in Week 3. If Clemson’s pitch lands, it could set off a chain reaction with other prospects who were on campus Saturday.
The Clemson Insider confirmed several 2028 recruits were in attendance for Week 2, and the energy around the visit apparently came through loud and clear. Hawkins gives Clemson a starting point, and that matters. A committed quarterback can help steady a class early, but the Tigers still need more pieces to build around him.
