Clemson Lands Atlanta Defensive Back After Key Visit

Clemson's recruiting momentum continues as they secure standout defensive back Seth Williams, marking their seventh commitment for the 2027 class.

Clemson is making waves on the recruiting front, landing their seventh commitment for the 2027 class. The Tigers' latest gem is defensive back Seth Williams from Atlanta Lakeside High School.

Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 190 pounds, Williams made a significant impression during his visits to Clemson. After checking out the Tigers' program earlier this month, he returned on Tuesday with his father. It was during this visit that Coach Dabo Swinney extended an offer, and Williams committed right then and there.

This wasn't Williams' first time on Clemson's campus. He first visited last November when the Tigers took on Furman. His second visit came during a spring practice session two weeks ago, as Clemson's interest in him continued to grow.

In recent weeks, Williams has been a hot commodity. Penn State, Michigan State, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and Syracuse all extended offers, adding to those from N.C. State, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Maryland, and Iowa State.

Williams is coming off a standout junior season, proving himself as one of Georgia's top defensive talents. With 73 tackles, two tackles for loss, and an interception, he's shown the kind of playmaking ability that Clemson fans can get excited about.
