Lane Kiffin’s first LSU game was already a runaway, but the halftime locker room message may end up traveling just as far as the 51-10 final.
LSU had Clemson buried by the break, up 31-3 after shaking off an early interception that briefly gave Clemson the lead. Then a leaked video surfaced Monday, Sept. 7, and it showed Kiffin pushing hard for more even with the game essentially out of reach.
“Do you feel good about what happened? Who gives a f-k what happened?”
Kiffin said in the video, shared by content creator KentSports24 on X. “That’s what’s supposed to happen.
Ain’t no f-king celebrations for that.”
He kept hammering the same point: the work had already been done, and the job was nowhere near finished.
“We asked you to work really hard. We asked you to come back to work again and again and again,” he said.
Kiffin then shifted the focus to the second half and the message he wanted LSU to keep sending.
“We’ve got to show them again,” Kiffin said. “It doesn’t matter what plays they run, it doesn’t matter what they do on offense.”
He added, “They’re f-king soft. … You send them a f-king message of who’s on their schedule!
They have to play you. And don’t think we’re letting up late.”
The production on the field matched the tone in the locker room. LSU added 20 more points after halftime and barely let Clemson breathe the rest of the way. The Tigers piled up 644 total yards, with 309 on the ground and 335 through the air.
Sam Leavitt ran the show at quarterback, throwing for 230 yards and a touchdown while also rushing for 113 yards and two scores. Dilin Jones matched that 113-yard rushing total and scored twice as well.
LSU’s defense did its part, too, with four sacks and 11 tackles for loss. Clemson finished with just 145 total yards and went 1 for 13 on third down.
If the video is indeed Kiffin, it offered an immediate look at how he wants LSU wired: no letup, no satisfaction, no treating dominance like an endpoint. The Clemson game showed a team that kept attacking after it had already taken control.
