Florida State will be missing several key pieces when Clemson comes to Tallahassee on Oct. 31, with starting cornerback Quindarrius Jones among the Seminoles’ players listed out on the first injury report.
The Tigers, 4-3 overall and 2-2 in the ACC, face Florida State, which enters at 3-4 and 1-3, at 7 p.m. on ACC Network.
Jones had already dealt with injuries earlier this season, sitting out games against Central Arkansas and Alabama before returning for matchups with Virginia, Louisville and Miami. Now he’s back on the sidelines.
Florida State’s injury list also includes leading rusher Ousmane Kromah, who was hurt against Miami on Oct. 17 and is out for the season after suffering a fracture and dislocation in his left ankle. The Seminoles are also expected to be without multiple defenders, including starting linebackers Chris Jones and Omar Graham Jr., though both are listed as probable. Jones leads the team in tackles.
Clemson’s report is shorter, with backup wide receiver Gordon Sellars III listed as questionable because of a concussion.
The Tigers’ injury report also includes Corian Gipson, Polo Anderson, Shavar Young Jr., Cole Turner, David Eziomume and Mason Wade as out.
Florida State’s report, meanwhile, shows a long list of unavailable players: Samuel Singleton Jr., Karson Hobbs, Jamari Howard, Blake Nichelson, Izayia Williams, Daylen Green and Noah LaVallee are all out, while DB K.J. Kirkland is questionable. Along with Malachi Marshall, Jordan Crutchfield, Mikai Gbayor and Caleb LaVallee, Omar Graham Jr. and Chris Jones are listed as probable.

Dabo Swinney Just Put A Clemson Starter On Notice
Dabo Swinney used the wake-up call from Clemsons loss to Virginia Tech to make it clear that sophomore running back Gideon Davidson is not being graded only on his production. Davidson has been one of the Tigers most productive backs, leading the team in rushing yards and touchdowns, but Swinney pointed to missed assignments and costly decisions as part of the offenses recent problems.
The issues have already shown up in Davidsons playing time, and two sacks allowed on his watch only added to the concern around his work in pass protection and situational awareness. Swinney still believes Davidson is committed and has the ability to clean it up, but with competition growing in the backfield, the margin for error is getting thinner. [Read more 🡒]
How Clemson Kept Hevin Brown-Shuler Connected During His Toughest Fight
Hevin Brown-Shuler reached a milestone this week that meant far more than anything that happens on a football field, finishing his chemotherapy treatment for Hodgkin lymphoma. Clemson made sure the moment was shared with the people who have been around him through it all, with Dabo Swinney, Nick Eason and the defensive tackles room joining him as teammates, coaches and fans celebrated the occasion.
Brown-Shuler stayed connected to the program throughout his treatment, and the support around him never really let up. From the locker room to the wider Clemson community, the response reflected just how much he means to the team beyond his role as a defensive tackle, and it left one more important chapter still ahead as he moves past the hardest part of the fight. Dabo Swinney's Clemson Future Suddenly Feels Like A Real Debate
Clemsons recent slide has turned what once felt like an impossible question into a real one: what happens if the program keeps drifting while Dabo Swinney remains in charge? On his podcast, college football analyst Josh Pate said he does not believe Clemson would fire Swinney in the traditional sense, pointing to the size of the buyout and the reality that the situation is far more complicated than a simple dismissal. It is the kind of conversation that only surfaces when expectations and results stop lining up in a program that has spent years defining itself by both.
Pates point was less about an abrupt move from the school and more about whether the final decision could come from Swinney himself if this season ends with more disappointment. Clemsons recent performance decline has left the program facing an uncomfortable stretch, and any talk about the future now comes with the sense that the next step may not be the one fans are used to hearing. However it plays out, the conversation has shifted from speculation to something much harder to dismiss. [Read more 🡒]
