Ja'Marr Chase Earns Pro Bowl Spot While Bengals Teammates Wait Their Turn

Ja'Marr Chase continues to cement his place in Bengals history with another Pro Bowl nod, while several teammates wait in the wings as alternates.

Ja’Marr Chase Earns Fifth Straight Pro Bowl Nod, Cementing Early Legacy Among Bengals Greats

The NFL made it official on Tuesday: Ja’Marr Chase is heading back to the Pro Bowl. The Bengals’ star wide receiver has been selected to represent the AFC in the 2026 Pro Bowl Games, marking his fifth straight appearance since entering the league in 2021.

That’s not just consistency - that’s elite company. Chase now joins A.J.

Green as the only players in Bengals history to earn Pro Bowl honors in each of their first five NFL seasons. And for the second year in a row, he’s not just going - he’s starting.

Let’s pause on that for a second. Five years, five Pro Bowls, two as a starter. That’s the kind of résumé that doesn’t just get you noticed - it starts building a legacy.

Chase, now in his fifth year out of LSU, has once again put together a season that backs up the accolades. He’s second in the league in receptions with 110, fourth in receiving yards at 1,256, and has added five touchdown grabs along the way.

But the volume stats only tell part of the story. Chase has topped 100 receiving yards in seven different games this season - the most in a single season in Bengals history.

That’s dominance, week in and week out.

And the milestones keep coming. With his 1,000-yard campaign this year, Chase becomes just the fifth player in NFL history to eclipse 1,000 receiving yards in each of his first five seasons. That’s a list reserved for the all-time greats - and Chase is carving out his place on it.

His fifth Pro Bowl selection also puts him among the most decorated players in Bengals franchise history. Only five other players have reached that mark in Cincinnati: Hall of Fame tackle Anthony Munoz (11), defensive stalwart Geno Atkins (eight), Green (seven), Chad Johnson (six), and Lemar Parrish (six). That’s a Mount Rushmore-level group, and Chase is already on it - before even finishing his rookie contract.

While Chase headlines the Bengals’ Pro Bowl presence, he’s not the only one drawing league-wide recognition. Wide receiver Tee Higgins was named a second alternate, cornerback DJ Turner II a third alternate, and wideout Charlie Jones a fifth alternate as a kick return specialist. Alternates are next in line if selected players can’t participate - whether due to injury or a Super Bowl appearance.

The 2026 Pro Bowl Games are set for February 3 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. And while the Pro Bowl may not carry the same weight it once did, for players like Chase, it’s still a meaningful nod - a league-wide acknowledgment of a season (and career) that’s been nothing short of spectacular.

For Bengals fans, it’s another reminder: they’re witnessing something special.
