Bengals Star Tee Higgins Joins Pro Bowl Roster After Sudden Change

After a standout season leading the AFC in touchdown catches, Tee Higgins earns his first Pro Bowl nod, stepping in for Zay Flowers on the AFC roster.

Tee Higgins is heading to the Pro Bowl - and it’s a long-overdue nod for one of the AFC’s most quietly dominant wideouts.

The Bengals receiver has been officially added to the AFC roster for the 2026 Pro Bowl Games, marking his first career selection. Originally listed as a second alternate, Higgins gets the call to replace Baltimore’s Zay Flowers, and based on the season he just had, it’s hard to argue he didn’t earn it.

In his sixth year out of Clemson, Higgins put together a rock-solid campaign: 59 catches, 846 yards, and a career-best 11 touchdown grabs in 15 games (14 starts). That touchdown total wasn’t just a personal milestone - it led all AFC receivers and tied for second in the entire league.

And he did it with a level of consistency that’s hard to ignore, stringing together a career-long streak of four straight games with a touchdown catch from Week 7 through Week 11. That kind of rhythm is what separates good receivers from great ones - Higgins found the end zone when it mattered most.

This Pro Bowl selection also places Higgins in exclusive company. He becomes just the 10th wide receiver in Bengals history to earn the honor, joining the likes of franchise legends.

He’ll line up alongside teammate Ja’Marr Chase, giving Cincinnati two Pro Bowl receivers in the same season for the first time since 2007, when T.J. Houshmandzadeh and Chad Johnson both got the nod.

That’s not just a stat - it’s a statement about the kind of firepower the Bengals have at wideout right now.

The 2026 Pro Bowl Games are set for Tuesday, February 3, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, and will be broadcast live on ESPN. It’s a well-deserved spotlight for Higgins, who’s been doing Pro Bowl-caliber work - and now, finally, has the recognition to match.
