According to Awful Announcing, the guest list at the Madison Square Garden ceremony on Friday may have quietly pointed to the networks Kelce could have in mind for a post-retirement TV career. The report noted a strong presence from Fox, Prime Video and ESPN, while CBS and NBC were not represented by any notable names.
That has fueled the idea that Kelce may already be thinking strategically about where he wants to land in broadcasting. Industry observers see him as a natural fit for television thanks to his football IQ, his personality, and the entertainment edge that comes with his relationship with Swift. The sense around him is that he could work in a space that blends analysis and personality-driven content.
The wedding drew a long list of recognizable media figures. Fox was represented by Tom Brady, Mike Gronkowski, Greg Olsen, Kevin Burkhardt, Michael Strahan, Julian Edelman and Dean Blandino, along with close friends of the couple Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson.
Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football group was there too, with Ryan Fitzpatrick, Richard Sherman and Tony Gonzalez among the attendees. ESPN’s contingent included Rich Eisen, Pat McAfee, Stephen A. Smith and Joe Buck.
Kelce already has a media footprint through the weekly “New Heights” podcast with his brother Jason, who works at ESPN. That connection has only added to the belief that a full-time move into television could be next, and the expectation is that such a jump would come with an eight-figure deal.
For now, the discussion is still about possibilities. But the wedding guest list gave plenty of people in the industry a reason to think Kelce has already been laying the groundwork.
