The White Sox farm system split its Tuesday slate, finishing 2-4 with wins from Triple-A Charlotte and the DSL White Sox. The biggest offensive sparks came from the upper levels, where Austin Hays went deep for the Knights, Caleb Bonemer kept rolling at Double-A Birmingham, and Alexander Albertus turned in a strong night for Low-A Kannapolis.
Charlotte edged Norfolk 7-6 behind a lineup that kept finding ways to get on base and put pressure on the Tides. Hays finished 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs and two RBI, while Rikuu Nishida and Nolan Jones each had two hits.
Everson Pereira added a double, two runs and an RBI, and Andy Weber also left the yard. Tim Elko was back in the lineup and picked up a single in his return.
On the mound, Charlotte got 4.0 innings from David Sandlin, who allowed one hit and one earned run. Duncan Davitt earned the win after 2.0 innings of work, and Tyler Davis locked down the save despite issuing two walks in the ninth.
Birmingham’s 34-57 record didn’t stop Bonemer from putting together another loud performance. The top prospect went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI, and Brenden Dixon also homered for the Barons. Dylan Campbell chipped in two hits and a stolen base, while Alec Briley doubled.
Low-A Kannapolis got a productive night from Albertus, who went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Matthew Boughton added a triple, two runs and a walk, and Jurdrick Profar also doubled and drove in a run. Blaine Wynk was the bright spot on the mound, tossing 3.1 scoreless innings out of the bullpen.
At Winston-Salem, Ely Brown supplied the extra-base hit with a triple and an RBI, while James Taussig finished 2-for-4 and Ryan Burrowes added a hit, a walk and a stolen base. Drew McDaniel started and worked 4.0 innings.
The ACL White Sox fell 4-2 to the ACL Reds, but Leandro Alsinois and Frank Mieses each homered. Alsinois went 2-for-3 with a double, a home run, a run and an RBI, while Mieses finished 1-for-3 with a homer. Orlando Suarez started and struck out five over 5.0 innings.
In the DSL, the White Sox picked up one of the system’s two wins, beating the DSL Reds. Carlos Vielma scored three times and drove in a run, Sebastian Romero had two runs and an RBI, and Felix Lebron delivered three RBI. Leandro Patino added a double, a run and an RBI, while Erick Rosso earned the win with 1.1 scoreless innings.

White Sox Are Starting To See A Different Murakami At The Plate
Munetaka Murakamis return has given the White Sox a different look at the plate, and not just because he is back in the lineup after a long absence. The club has gone 6-2 since he rejoined, and even with a batting average that still lags behind where he wants it, there have been encouraging signs in the way he is working counts and making better contact.
Murakami has drawn a walk in seven straight games, a small but meaningful marker for a team trying to balance a division race with player development and injury management. White Sox Farm Night Brings One Encouraging Charlotte Sign
Charlottes night offered the White Sox system its most encouraging note, even if the rest of the farm report was a mixed bag. The Knights pulled out a 7-6 win over Norfolk after a comeback that gave the organization a glimpse of some needed offense, while Birmingham took a rough 13-4 loss to Montgomery and the other affiliates split their own lopsided results across the board.
The Charlotte rally was the one worth circling for White Sox followers, especially with rehabbing big leaguer Austin Hays in the middle of it and Andy Weber and Nolan Jones also helping push the Knights back into the game.
