Matas Buzelis Stuns With 32 Points In Bulls' Tenth Straight Loss

Undeterred by personal milestones, Matas Buzelis remains laser-focused on steering the Chicago Bulls back to victory amid a challenging season.

The Chicago Bulls faced another tough night, dropping their 10th straight game to the Charlotte Hornets with a 131-99 loss. This continues a winless streak for the month, leaving fans eager for a turnaround.

Despite the team's struggles, Matas Buzelis shined with a season-high 32 points, showing his determination to make a difference. “I want to win games,” Buzelis emphasized.

“I’m working every day to try to win. And so is everybody else.”

Alongside his scoring, Buzelis also led the team with six rebounds and nailed six 3-pointers.

The Bulls now stand at 24-35 and are looking to change their fortunes with an upcoming home game against the Portland Trail Blazers. Tuesday’s game also marked the return of Coby White to Chicago, where he contributed 10 points against his former team.

Buzelis is averaging 15.3 points and 5.4 rebounds per game, numbers that reflect his growing role with the Bulls. The recent trade deadline shook up the roster, sending former teammates like White, Ayo Dosunmu, Nikola Vucevic, and Kevin Huerter to other teams. This has left Buzelis, along with Josh Giddey and Jalen Smith, to step up as the core of the team.

As Buzelis adjusts to these changes, he’s been tasked with shouldering more of the offensive load. Now in his second season with Chicago, he’s already made a splash, competing in the NBA Rising Stars Game during All-Star Weekend and capturing attention with his highlight-reel dunks. However, individual achievements are no substitute for the wins he and the team are striving for.
