Cavaliers
Max Strus has only been back for two games, but it's clear that Kenny Atkinson already has a lot of faith in him. Strus was pivotal in closing out Tuesday’s victory over Milwaukee, and it looks like he’ll continue to play a key role moving forward. Whether he starts or comes off the bench as the sixth man is still up in the air, but one thing’s for sure-Strus will be on the court when it matters most.
In the latest game, Strus nailed a crucial three-pointer and wrapped up the night with six points, six rebounds, and four assists. He’s proving to be a versatile asset, and his playing time is expected to increase as we approach the playoffs.
But with depth on the wing, including players like Keon Ellis, Dennis Schroder, Sam Merrill, and Jaylon Tyson, Cleveland faces a good problem-figuring out the best rotation in a nine-man lineup. Atkinson acknowledges they haven’t made a final decision yet, emphasizing the need for further evaluation.
Pacers
Pascal Siakam is inching closer to a return, though he’s not quite ready yet. After missing six consecutive games due to a knee sprain, Coach Rick Carlisle is optimistic about Siakam’s return before the season wraps up.
The Pacers could certainly use him. They’re in the midst of a franchise-record 15-game losing streak, a tough stretch for the reigning Eastern Conference champs. Siakam’s comeback could be the spark Indiana needs to turn things around.
Bulls
Jaden Ivey is potentially nearing a return to action. Coach Billy Donovan mentioned that Ivey will travel with the team, signaling hopes for his return in the near future. His presence could provide a much-needed boost for the Bulls as they look to strengthen their lineup.
