Caleb Wilson keeps stacking up numbers, even as the Chicago Bulls keep stumbling.
Chicago dropped to 1-6 after a 126-107 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday, but Wilson still turned in another strong night with 24 points and 7 rebounds. That performance pushed him into some rare rookie territory alongside Allen Iverson, according to Novig.
Through his first seven NBA games, Wilson and Iverson are the only players in league history to post at least 150 points, 15 3-pointers and 10 steals. That’s the kind of early production that puts a first-year player in some very exclusive company.
Caleb Wilson joins Allen Iverson as the ONLY players in NBA history to record all three milestones through their first SEVEN career games:

Wilson also moved into a Bulls-specific class with Michael Jordan. He and Jordan are now the only two Chicago rookies to score 150-plus points in their first seven games.
On top of that, Wilson has tied Jordan for the most points scored by a Bulls rookie in his first three games, with Jordan at 74 and Wilson at 67. Wilson also matched Jordan for the fastest to 100 points.
So far, Wilson is averaging 21.6 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.
Iverson’s rookie season in 1996 came after Philadelphia drafted him out of Georgetown in one of the most memorable draft classes ever, a group that also included Kobe Bryant, Ray Allen and Stephon Marbury. Iverson went on to take over at point guard for the 76ers and became a cultural force as much as a basketball one, blending hip hop style and playground swagger.
Wilson, meanwhile, is part of a more recent draft class that has drawn plenty of attention, with Darryn Peterson, AJ Dybansta and Cameron Boozer among the names in it. His game has already shown the explosiveness, dynamism and leadership that separate him from the pack.
The Bulls are back in action Wednesday against the New York Knicks at 6:30pm CST/7:30pm EST at Madison Square Garden.

Bulls Had No Answer For A 76ers Team Looking Unstoppable
The Bulls ran into a Philadelphia team that has quickly started to look like one of the leagues early problems, with the 76ers winning again to stretch their streak to four and move to 7-1 on the season. Chicago could not keep pace with the way Philadelphia moved the ball and kept pressure on the defense, as Tyrese Maxey and Jaylen Brown set the tone and Joel Embiid, LeBron James and V.J. Edgecombe all chipped in to keep the offense humming.
For the Bulls, the frustration was less about one hot hand than the overall rhythm Philadelphia found and sustained. The 76ers were getting quality looks, sharing the ball and forcing Chicago to chase for long stretches, which is exactly the kind of night that can make a good defensive plan look thin. If this is the version of Philadelphia the Bulls are going to see again, they will need a much cleaner answer than the one they came up with here. [Read more 🡒]
Bulls Visit To New York Suddenly Centers On Nic Claxton
The Bulls trip to New York on Wednesday has taken on a different feel because of the injury report, with Nic Claxton suddenly in the mix for the Knicks after being listed as questionable with a left hamstring strain. Claxton has yet to appear in a game this season or in the preseason, so his status matters not just for New Yorks frontcourt plans but for the way Chicago has to prepare on the road.
Jalen Smith has been handling the center duties in Claxtons absence and is listed as probable despite a left finger sprain. If Claxton is able to go, it would change the look of the matchup quickly, but for now the Bulls are left waiting on a decision that could shape how the game is played inside. [Read more 🡒]
Bulls Young Core Already Raising Early Questions After Philly Loss
The Bulls trip to Philadelphia ended with a lopsided 126-107 loss, a reminder that the growing pains around this roster can show up quickly against a disciplined opponent. Caleb Wilson provided the scoring punch Chicago needed to stay afloat, and Josh Giddey was again central to the offense with his passing and ability to organize possessions, but the night also featured uneven stretches from several other rotation pieces.
Jalen Smith, Norman Powell, Noa Essengue, Isaac Okoro and Matas Buzelis all had moments that underscored how much this group is still sorting itself out on both ends. For a team trying to build around a young core, the bigger concern is not just the final margin but the way the Bulls supporting cast can swing from helpful to shaky in the same game. [Read more 🡒]
