Caleb Wilson is wasting no time turning early buzz into something bigger. While the Chicago Bulls continue working through a long rebuild, Wilson has already stepped into the spotlight with his first professional commercial.
New Balance released a 30-second ad on Wednesday featuring Wilson in a series of jump-shot clips, mixing current footage with home movies of him as a kid getting shots up. The spot leans into Wilson’s comfort in front of the camera and his obvious ease with the game itself.
Wilson also delivers a message in the ad that matches the way he’s been described around the Bulls: driven, composed and eager to keep improving.
“To all of you trying to make it work,” Wilson said. “Keep going.
The work takes care of you. And trust me, we will all get there.
It is not easy. But we can never stop having fun with it.

That kind of line fits the image Wilson has built early on. He’s being talked about as a rookie with rare poise, intelligence and emotional maturity to go with his talent, and the praise has centered on how badly he wants to keep getting better. He also doesn’t sound like someone waiting around for an opportunity - in his case, it already feels like it’s here.
The production comes as Wilson’s on-court numbers continue to pop despite a rough start for Chicago. The Bulls are 1-6, but Wilson is averaging 21.6 points and 6.7 rebounds per game while shooting 43.2% from the field.
Chicago was set to face the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night.

Bulls Waste Caleb Wilsons Big Night As Early Slide Gets Worse
Caleb Wilson gave the Bulls a needed spark with 24 points, but it was not nearly enough to slow a Philadelphia team that has opened the season looking every bit like a contender. The 76ers rolled to a 126-107 win at Xfinity Mobile Arena, moving to 7-1 while Chicago dropped to 1-6 and absorbed its fifth straight loss.
Philadelphia took control in the third quarter, when the game tilted hard in a seven-minute stretch that left the Bulls chasing the rest of the night. Tyrese Maxey powered the offense with 26 points and 11 assists, Jaylen Brown added 25 points and 11 rebounds, and LeBron James chipped in 15 points and nine assists as Chicagos early slide kept getting worse. Bulls Suddenly Have Another Frontcourt Concern To Worry About
Jalen Smiths preseason has taken another turn, and not the kind the Bulls wanted to see. Already working through a left finger sprain that had him listed as probable, Smith went down with a left hand injury in the game against the Knicks and did not return, adding more uncertainty to a frontcourt group that has already been asked to absorb some early-season stress.
Chicago has been leaning on Smith to help cover for injured veteran center Nic Claxton, so any setback there matters beyond one exhibition game. The Bulls do not have much room for another frontcourt issue, and with Smiths status now in question, the team will be waiting to see what comes next before it can get a clearer read on its depth. Bulls May Finally Get Frontcourt Help At A Crucial Time
The Bulls could be getting a timely boost in the frontcourt as they prepare to face the Knicks, with Nic Claxton inching closer to his season debut after missing the first seven games with a left hamstring strain. Chicago has been short on answers early, so any help in the middle would arrive at an important moment, especially with the team trying to steady itself against a New York group coming off a win and looking to keep building.
The injury report still leaves plenty of uncertainty on both sides, though, and the matchup could look different by tipoff. New York is monitoring Josh Hart because of right ankle soreness, while the Bulls are waiting to see whether Claxton is ready to return after his recent upgrade on Tuesday. Even with both teams carrying questionable and probable tags, Chicago is hoping this is the kind of night where a key reinforcement finally becomes available. [Read more 🡒]
