Bulls Spiraling as Injuries Mount Ahead of Matchup with Magic
The Chicago Bulls are in a tailspin, and the timing couldn’t be worse. After dropping three straight to teams with five or fewer wins, the Bulls now face the Orlando Magic with a roster that’s looking more like a triage unit than a competitive rotation.

There’s a silver lining with Collins-he’s been upgraded from “out” to “doubtful” as he works his way back from a preseason wrist fracture. That’s progress, albeit slow.
White’s situation, though, raises some red flags. After missing the first 11 games of the season with a right calf strain, he’s now dealing with tightness in his left calf.
It’s not the same leg, but it’s still a concern-especially for a player who relies on quick bursts and lateral movement. The Bulls have been cautious with his recovery, sitting him out of back-to-backs, but this new development could force them to pump the brakes again.
Dalen Terry is also doubtful with a left calf strain, and Julian Phillips is questionable due to illness. The only bit of good news? Lachlan Olbrich is probable with a left calf contusion and could be available to provide some frontcourt depth.
Magic Missing Banchero, But Still Finding Ways to Win
On the other side, Orlando comes in with just one name on the injury list-but it’s a big one. Paolo Banchero will miss his ninth straight game as he continues to recover from a groin strain. That’s a significant absence, considering how central he is to Orlando’s offense and overall identity.
And yet, the Magic haven’t exactly crumbled without him. They’ve gone 6-2 during this stretch, picking up some impressive wins along the way. Whether it’s a testament to the team’s depth, the impact of their offseason moves, or just a hot streak remains to be seen-but it’s clear this group has found a rhythm.
What’s at Stake Tonight
For Chicago, this game is less about the standings and more about stopping the bleeding. The defense has been porous, the offense inconsistent, and the injuries are piling up. The Bulls need a performance that re-establishes some identity-something to build on before the season starts to slip too far out of reach.
