Micah Parsons made it clear he isn’t interested in getting pulled into the Bears’ chatter, but he had plenty to say anyway.
During an appearance on Bleacher Report's The Edge, the Green Bay Packers star brushed off Luther Burden III’s comments after Green Bay’s Week 5 win. Parsons didn’t sound eager to dive into the back-and-forth, but he certainly didn’t hold back on the receiver.
"I don't be worried about him though," Parsons said.
He followed that up by framing the talk as a bid for attention, suggesting the whole thing was more about getting noticed than anything else. That stance might sound unusual coming from Parsons, who has built a reputation as one of the NFL’s most outspoken podcast personalities. This time, though, he said he was in too good of a headspace to get caught up in it.
Parsons also made a point of explaining why he’s not fully leaning into the rivalry talk just yet. His experience against Chicago is limited - he faced the Bears during his years with Dallas and once since joining Green Bay - and he said he doesn’t think the two sides have fully earned that level of rivalry tension.
"We ain't earned that right yet," Parsons said.
He included himself in that remark, which makes it land more like an acknowledgment than a straight shot at Burden. Still, it’s the kind of comment Bears fans won’t exactly love hearing from a Packers defender after their team’s trash talk already went nowhere in Week 5.
Burden’s words have gotten attention, but as Parsons pointed out, the real test comes on the field. The same goes for Parsons himself.
Where he was much more animated was when the topic shifted to Caleb Williams. Parsons recalled telling the Bears quarterback, "See you on Christmas."
He doubled down on that message during the interview, saying, "I'm standing on that. I'mma see y'all Christmas Day. I can't wait."
That’s not much of a threat, just a competitor already looking ahead to the next meeting. Parsons also sounded confident he’ll be on the field when that game arrives, and if that happens, the Christmas matchup between the Packers and Bears should carry a little extra heat.
For Chicago, the answer won’t come from another round of quotes. The Bears already had their chance to talk before Week 5, and Green Bay left with the win. Now the response has to come on the field.

Dennis Allen Is Staying Calm After The Bears Worst Defensive Showing
After the Bears roughest defensive outing of the season, Dennis Allen did not sound interested in turning one bad Sunday into a bigger problem. The defensive coordinator said the film has already been reviewed and the concerns are being handled in practice, with Chicago leaning on a young unit that has had to absorb injuries and lineup changes along the way.
Now comes a tricky reset against Atlanta, where the Bears are trying to steady themselves against a Falcons offense built around Drake London and Bijan Robinson. The challenge is steep enough even before factoring in Chicagos latest personnel issues, and it leaves Allen looking for a quick response from a defense that knows it has to look sharper fast. Kyler Gordon Gives Bears Secondary A Boost It Desperately Needed
Kyler Gordon is back in the picture for Chicago, and the timing could hardly be better for a secondary that has needed help in coverage. The Bears added the slot cornerback to their 53-man roster after a stretch on the Physically Unable to Perform list, giving the defense a familiar piece to lean on after an uneven opening month.
Gordons return is expected to bring some stability to the middle of the defense, where his presence has been missed while he worked his way back from a soft-tissue injury. He should be in line to make his season debut against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 6, giving Chicago a chance to see whether one important addition can help settle a back end that has been searching for answers. Bears Week 6 Hangs On A Few Unexpected Playmakers
The Bears head into Week 6 trying to regroup after a Week 5 loss, and the conversation around this matchup has quickly shifted to who will be available and who can help carry the load. Chicago is already navigating a thin margin with four starters sidelined, which puts even more pressure on a handful of players to make an outsized impact against Atlanta.
Caleb Williams remains the biggest question hanging over the game plan, and his status could reshape how Chicago approaches the Falcons. If he is limited or unavailable, the Bears would have to lean even harder on the rest of the roster to stabilize an offense already dealing with those absences and the ripple effects they create.
