Charlotte Hornets fans will have a new place to go this season, and it’s a pretty major shift. DAZN is now the team’s direct-to-consumer media partner, meaning preseason and regular-season games will stream there along with additional Hornets content throughout the year.
For local fans, the setup is straightforward: every game not picked for exclusive national broadcast by one of the league’s partners will be available live and on-demand on DAZN. There are 75 games currently scheduled to stream on the platform, and 71 of them are exclusive to DAZN.
The move arrives as the 2026-27 season ushers in a different-looking Charlotte roster, with Brandon Miller and Kon Knueppel positioned as the team’s top draws after the Hornets moved on from LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges.
“We are thrilled to partner with DAZN whose platform, technology and viewer experience is best-in-class,” Hornets President Shelly Cayette-Weston said in a release. “This partnership with DAZN is another important step in making Hornets basketball more accessible across the Carolinas.
We know our fans are consuming sports differently than they did even a few years ago, and we are committed to meeting them where they are by providing flexibility, convenience and high-quality viewing experience they expect. DAZN gives fans another way to follow the team and feel connected to Hornets basketball throughout the season.”
DAZN, pronounced da-zone, is a sports streaming service built around live and on-demand viewing without a cable subscription. It operates in more than 200 countries and territories and first became known for boxing, MMA and pay-per-view fight nights. In 2026, it added regional NBA streaming rights for several teams, including the Hornets, Knicks, Pacers, Timberwolves, Spurs, Nets and Wizards.
One of the main draws is flexibility. Fans can watch through the app on smart TVs, phones, tablets, computers and connected devices, which makes it easier to follow games at home or on the move.
For Charlotte market customers, DAZN is offering several Hornets plans. The Standard Season Pass costs $119.99 per season and includes every locally produced preseason and regular-season Hornets game live and on-demand, plus pregame, halftime and postgame shows and other Hornets programming. It also includes other DAZN content for free, such as international soccer and boxing, along with download access for watching on the go.
The Standard Monthly Pass is priced at $19.99 per month and includes the same Hornets game coverage, programming and free DAZN content, plus download access.
For fans who want more bells and whistles, the Ultimate tier adds extra perks. The Season Pass Ultimate is $139.99 per season and includes everything in the Standard pass, plus a one-time 15% off discount code for Hornets Shop, 20% off select Hornets game tickets, streaming on up to five devices in two locations, alternate feeds and camera angles, and multiview capability. The Monthly Pass Ultimate is $24.99 per month and comes with the same added benefits.
DAZN is also offering a free seven-day trial in the Charlotte broadcast market to start the season, giving newcomers a chance to figure out which plan fits best.
Signing up starts with the DAZN website or app. Users can choose their location if prompted, select a plan, create an account with name, email address and password, enter payment information, review the order and then start streaming.
