Hornets Extend Winning Streak as Brandon Miller Stuns Spurs Again

Brandon Miller continues to elevate his game during the Hornets' hottest stretch of the season, hinting at a breakout that could shift Charlottes trajectory.

Brandon Miller is putting the league on notice-and he’s doing it with poise, production, and a whole lot of confidence.

The second-year wing has been the driving force behind the Charlotte Hornets’ six-game winning streak, and his latest performance-a 26-point outing in a 111-106 win over the San Antonio Spurs-was another reminder that this surge is no fluke. Coming off a 30-point explosion in a blowout win over the Sixers, Miller followed it up by leading six Hornets in double figures against the Spurs, including a key stretch in the second half where he helped Charlotte maintain control against Victor Wembanyama and company.

Over the course of this six-game stretch, Miller’s been locked in. He’s averaging 24.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.3 assists, and he’s doing it efficiently.

His 37.7% shooting from beyond the arc is a career-best, and he’s also chipping in nearly a block per game-showing growth on both ends of the floor. This isn’t just a hot streak; it’s the evolution of a young star who’s starting to figure out how to take over games.

And it’s not just the numbers-it’s the mindset. Miller’s confidence is clearly at an all-time high, and he’s quick to credit his teammates for the trust they’ve placed in him.

“I feel great, my confidence level is high,” Miller said after the win. “I take my hat off to my teammates every night, because without them I wouldn’t have games like this, without their trust. So as long as I keep trusting them, we’re gonna keep pushing these wins to the city of Charlotte.”

That trust is translating into a balanced, cohesive offensive attack. Against San Antonio, Miller, LaMelo Ball, and Miles Bridges combined for 56 points, knocking down six threes between them. Off the bench, Colin Sexton delivered a spark with 21 points, including a perfect 5-for-5 from deep-exactly the kind of bench boost that turns a good team into a dangerous one.

Now at 22-28, the Hornets are starting to look like a team that’s finding its identity. And a big part of that identity is the chemistry between Miller and Ball. The duo’s potential has been talked about since Miller entered the league, but with both players healthy and clicking, it’s finally starting to materialize on the court.

“I've been saying it for a long time now… when he's healthy, it could be a dangerous season for any team that steps on the floor with us,” Miller said about Ball. “Him being our leader-the head of the snake-it goes a long way for us and the young core.”

That young core is starting to gel, and the Hornets are playing with a swagger that’s been missing in recent years. With Miller leading the charge, Charlotte is turning heads-and they’re not done yet. They’ll look to stretch the win streak to seven when they host the Pelicans on Monday.

If Miller and company keep this up, the buzz in Charlotte might just be back for good.
