White's journey in Charlotte has been hampered by a nagging calf injury, limiting him to just eight games. In those appearances, he’s averaged 12.6 points and 3.4 assists over 19.5 minutes per game, shooting 40.5% from the field, 31.6% from three, and 80.8% from the line. These numbers, while solid, haven’t exactly screamed long-term investment.
The buzz around the league suggests White might command a contract in the $25-30 million annual range this summer. Despite his compromised season, he’s still likely to secure a lucrative deal. But will Charlotte be the one signing those checks?
