When the Daytona News-Journal put together its 105-man roster of all-time UCF greats, offensive tackle stood out as one of the program’s deepest and most important spots. Nine Knights at the position made the paper’s All-FBS team, a group that stretches across three decades of UCF football and includes starters, award winners and NFL players.
The list begins with Cornell Green, who spent four seasons shielding Daunte Culpepper and helped lay the groundwork for the record-setting offenses that followed. Green started 33 games over his final three seasons, went undrafted in the 1999 NFL Draft, later reunited with Culpepper on the Oakland (Las Vegas) Raiders in 2007 and won Super Bowl XXXVII with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Jah Reid also left a major mark in Orlando. He earned multiple All-Conference USA honors, making the Coach's All-Conference USA Freshman Team in 2007 before landing back-to-back All-Conference USA First Team selections in 2009 and 2010. The Baltimore Ravens took him 85th overall in the third round of the 2011 NFL Draft, and he won Super Bowl XLVII with the Ravens as a rookie.
Steve Edwards was another steady presence during UCF’s Independent FBS era. He went undrafted in the 2002 NFL Draft and spent his longest pro run with the Chicago Bears from 2002 to 2005.
Amari Kight arrived at UCF as a transfer from Alabama in 2023 and quickly became a dependable starter. He played in the Hula Bowl in 2025 before entering the NFL Draft, then signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent and won Super Bowl LX with them in his rookie year.
Tylan Grable brought a strong résumé with him when he transferred from Jacksonville State in 2022. He added All-OVC recognition to UCF’s line, then picked up Third Team All-AAC honors in 2023, along with an invitation to the Panini Senior Bowl and the NFL Scouting Combine. The Buffalo Bills selected him with the 204th pick in the sixth round, and he has remained with the team.
The list also includes Evans, who was a steady starter from 2014 to 2017. He played left tackle and earned American All-Academic team honors twice.
Wyatt Miller handled both right and left tackle for UCF in 2017 and 2018 and was one of Scott Frost’s leaders in 2017. He collected back-to-back Second Team All-AAC honors and helped the Knights set the rushing record in 2018.
Torrian Wilson earned conference recognition in three of his four seasons. He made the C-USA All-Freshman Team in 2011, was named Second Team All-C-USA in 2012 and, after UCF moved to the AAC in 2013, picked up Second Team All-AAC honors in his senior year.
Samuel Jackson rounded out the group with his best season in 2022 as a fifth-year player. He was one of five team captains, earned first-team All-AAC honors from Pro Football Focus, was a second-team All-AAC selection by league coaches, picked up third-team All-AAC recognition from Phil Steele and also appeared in the Hula Bowl.
