Orlando - A Season to Remember for Themus Fulks
Themus Fulks has been turning heads and breaking records at UCF, earning a spot on the All-Big 12 Third Team and the All-Newcomer Team. This recognition comes as no surprise to those who've followed his impressive journey on the court.
Fulks has been the linchpin for the Knights, orchestrating their offense with the precision of a seasoned maestro. Over the course of 30 games, he's averaging a solid 14.4 points per game and leading the team with 6.8 assists per contest. His performance has earned him a place in the Big 12 Starting Five on three occasions, and he's currently sitting pretty at third among active Division I players with an astounding 780 career assists.
The Winston-Salem native didn't just break records; he smashed them. Fulks racked up 205 assists this season, obliterating the previous UCF single-season record of 183, set by Sinua Phillips back in the 1991-92 season.
But Fulks' feats don't stop there. He became the first Knight to notch five double-digit assist games in a single season.
Additionally, he stands out as the first UCF player this century to achieve four point-assist double-doubles in a season. To top it off, he's the only player in program history to record consecutive games with at least 10 assists.
Fulks' remarkable season has been a masterclass in playmaking and leadership, setting a new standard for what it means to be a point guard at UCF. As he continues to carve his legacy, fans and opponents alike will be watching closely, eager to see what he accomplishes next.
