In a dazzling display of offensive prowess, the UCF Knights took command early against BYU, leading 52-28 at halftime. This marked their highest-scoring half of the season and handed BYU its largest halftime deficit in four years. Just a point shy of the Knights' record under Coach Dawkins, set back in 2016, this performance was nothing short of electric.
Leading the charge was Fulks, who poured in 14 points in the first half. Burks chipped in with 11, showcasing his range by hitting three of four from beyond the arc. Meanwhile, Stillwell delivered an all-around performance with five points, five rebounds, and five assists, going perfect from the field.
The Knights continued their dominance into the second half, starting with a 12-0 run capped by a thunderous dunk from John Bol. George Beale then sank back-to-back threes, extending the lead to 70-35 with just under 14 minutes to play.
Burks later nailed another three, assisted by Fulks, marking Fulks' 184th assist of the season and breaking the program’s single-season record previously held since the early '90s.
BYU made a late push with a 7-0 run, cutting the deficit to 15 points at 87-72. But Fulks quelled the rally with a layup, followed by two free throws from Beale, sealing a 97-84 victory for the Knights.
Burks finished with a career-high 24 points on 9-of-12 shooting, while Fulks matched his 24 points and added 11 assists, notching his fourth double-double of the season.
