Panthers Reunite With Former Seahawks Standout Stone Forsythe

The Panthers bolster their offensive line by signing seasoned tackle Stone Forsythe, reuniting him with head coach Dave Canales.

The Panthers have made a strategic move by signing free agent offensive tackle Stone Forsythe. Forsythe, who spent two seasons under the guidance of Panthers head coach Dave Canales in Seattle, brings valuable experience to the team.

Originally drafted by the Seahawks in the sixth round of the 2021 draft, Forsythe has developed into a reliable presence on the field. Over his four seasons in Seattle, he appeared in 53 games, starting 14 of them. Last season, he set a personal best with 13 starts, showcasing his growth and adaptability.

Forsythe's journey continued with stints at the Giants and Raiders, allowing him to amass a total of 70 games with 27 starts over his five-year career. His addition comes at a critical time for the Panthers, as they await the return of Ikem Ekwonu, who is recovering from a torn patellar tendon. With backup tackle Yosh Nijman entering free agency, Forsythe's arrival bolsters the Panthers' offensive line depth and provides a seasoned option to help protect the quarterback.

This signing not only addresses immediate needs but also adds depth and versatility to the Panthers' roster, positioning them well as they prepare for the upcoming season.
