The Carolina Panthers got a boost in Week 6, and that help is now reflected in their first crack at a Week 7 depth chart.
After coming out of Sunday’s 25-14 win over the Philadelphia Eagles with three players elevated to the active roster, Carolina has slotted Trevor Etienne, Taylor Moton and Tershawn Wharton back into the mix for its matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Each played a role in the victory, and each shows up in the team’s initial Week 7 rankings in his respective spot.
At quarterback, Bryce Young remains the starter, with Kenny Pickett behind him and Haynes King listed third.
The backfield keeps Chuba Hubbard at the top, followed by Etienne and AJ Dillon.
At receiver, Tetairoa McMillan, Jalen Coker and John Metchie III are grouped as the first string, with Brycen Tremayne and David Moore next up.
Tight end has Tommy Tremble in the lead spot. Mitchell Evans is second, then Darren Waller, Ja'Tavion Sanders and Feleipe Franks follow in order.
Up front, Rasheed Walker opens at left tackle, with Monroe Freeling and Stone Forsythe next. Damien Lewis is first at left guard, with Corey Bullock behind him.
Luke Fortner is the starter at center, followed by Sam Hecht. Robert Hunt holds the top spot at right guard with Torricelli Simpkins III second.
At right tackle, Moton is back in the first-string role, with Freeling and Forsythe listed behind him.
On the defensive line, Derrick Brown, Wharton and Bobby Brown III are the first-string trio. Aaron Hall, Lee Hunter and TeRah Edwards make up the second line.
Outside linebacker features Jaelan Phillips and Pat Jones II on the top unit, with Princely Umanmielen and Trevis Gipson next, followed by Thomas Incoom. Inside linebacker lists Devin Lloyd and Bobby Okereke first, then Tyrel Dodson and Jackson Kuwatch.
In the secondary, Will Lee III and Akayleb Evans open at cornerback, with Chau Smith-Wade second. At safety, Tre'von Moehrig and Nick Scott are first string, followed by Zakee Wheatley, Lathan Ransom and Isaiah Simmons.
Ryan Fitzgerald is the kicker, Sam Martin the punter and JJ Jansen the long snapper.
David Moore is the top man on both kick returns and punt returns, with Etienne listed second on each chart.

Panthers Trade Deadline Could Expose One Awkward Roster Fit
The Panthers win over the Eagles only sharpened the conversation around Carolinas next move before the Nov. 10 trade deadline. With the roster still searching for upgrades, Sports Illustrated floated a few names that could make sense for the Panthers, including Philadelphia tight end Dallas Goedert, Seahawks cornerback Riq Woolen and Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston as potential answers to lingering needs.
One reason the deadline feels intriguing is that Carolina may have to sort through fit as much as talent. Any pursuit would have to account for where those players slot into the current mix, and one possible acquisition could create an awkward overlap on a roster that is still taking shape. The Panthers have a chance to improve, but the bigger question may be whether the best available move actually fits cleanly. [Read more 🡒]
Bryce Young Is Forcing A Panthers Debate Nobody Expected This Fast
Bryce Young has turned the first five weeks of 2024 into a very different conversation than the one Carolina expected to be having this soon. After the Panthers exercised his fifth-year option, Young responded by setting a new franchise mark with 11 passing touchdowns through the teams first five games, while helping push Carolina to a 3-2 record entering Week 6.
It has not just been about scoring through the air, either. Young has thrown for 1,549 yards with only two interceptions, and he is currently leading the NFL in passing yards per game. For a team that spent much of the last year searching for stability at quarterback, the bigger question now is no longer whether Young can settle in, but how far this version of the Panthers can go if he keeps playing like this. Panthers Just Put Together The Kind Of Start Fans Haven't Seen
A win over the Eagles came with a little bit of history attached, and for Carolina, it was the kind of day that hinted at something sturdier than a one-week surge. Bryce Young kept the offense humming by becoming the first Panthers quarterback to post at least 250 passing yards and a touchdown pass in seven straight games, while the unit as a whole reached a team-record 146 points through five games. It was the sort of start fans around here have been waiting to see, with milestones piling up as the season gets moving.
Tetairoa McMillan also found himself in the record book by tying for second-fastest to 100 receptions in team history, Ryan Fitzgerald stayed perfect on his first 10 field goal attempts of the season, and JJ Jansen added another line to an already long rsum by setting the NFL record for most games played by a long snapper. Even so, the afternoon was hardly flawless, since Carolina also set a team record for penalty yardage in a single game, a reminder that this group is still sorting out just how good it can be.
