The Carolina Hurricanes now have a name for their new television home.
On Sept. 1, the team announced that its in-house network will be called the Hurricanes Hockey Network, or HHN, as it prepares to launch ahead of the 2026-27 season. Mike Sundheim, the Hurricanes vice president of communications, will oversee distribution, sales and marketing for the network in coordination with the NHL.
The broadcast team is staying intact. Mike Maniscalco will continue as the play-by-play voice, while Tripp Tracy returns as the television analyst.
The team also confirmed that Hanna Yates will stay on in a new role as broadcast and digital host. Shane Willis, who worked alongside the group during the Bally/FanDuel era, will remain part of the pregame, intermission and postgame coverage as an analyst.
For Hurricanes fans, the big takeaway is continuity. The four on-air personalities they’ve been watching over the last four seasons are all back for the network’s first year, giving HHN a familiar face before the first puck drops.
CEO of Hurricanes Holdings Brian Fork said, “We’re excited to welcome back our full on-air talent lineup as we launch Hurricanes Hockey Network. Our fans trust and appreciate Mike, Tripp, Hanna, and Shane to take them inside the game and keep broadcasts entertaining with insight, professionalism, and personality.”
The next question is where viewers will actually find the games. That piece is still to come.
The Hurricanes are slated for 12 nationally televised games this season, which will be on the Hurricanes Radio Network with Maniscalco and Tracy. That leaves 72 games for HHN during the 2026-27 season.
The network name and broadcast team are now in place. Fans are still waiting on the viewing details, but the people behind the mic are set, and the Hurricanes are heading into their first network season with the same crew that’s already become familiar to the fan base.
