BYU Football Is Crossing A Uniform Line Fans Never Expected

In a groundbreaking move, BYU football announces a first-ever jersey patch partnership with Utah-based Entrata, marking a new era of sponsorships and community collaboration.

This fall, BYU football will have a new look on its game jerseys, and the name on the patch will belong to a Utah company.

BYU athletics announced Monday that Entrata, based in Lehi, is the program’s first-ever football jersey sponsor. The company’s logo will appear on all football game jerseys beginning with the 2026 season, with BYU’s release image showing the patch placed above the Nike swoosh.

The partnership arrives as jersey patch sponsorships enter their first year after the NCAA approved schools to add them as an additional revenue stream on August 1. Some programs, including UNLV, have already landed eight-figure deals for those patches.

BYU athletics director Brian Santiago said in a statement, “We are grateful for this new sponsorship with Entrata and excited to welcome them to the BYU Athletics family. Entrata brings great value to BYU Athletics. We are excited about this new relationship and anticipate a bright future,”

The patch itself is capped at four square inches, and BYU said it represents the most visible part of what Entrata is calling a “long-term commitment to BYU Athletics.” The deal also includes in-venue branding, digital activations, and fan engagement opportunities. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Entrata’s brand colors are red and white, but the logo used for this partnership will be a blue box with white lettering.

Nico Dato, Entrata’s chief marketing officer, said, “To us, this relationship extends beyond having our logo on a jersey,” said Nico Dato, Entrata chief marketing officer. “We are collaborating with BYU on community initiatives across Utah, creating opportunities for student-athletes to engage in service alongside our team. We’re looking forward to the impact we can create together.”

Santiago said back in May at the Big 12 Spring Meetings that there was “a lot of interest from a lot of different corporate sponsors in those (BYU) jersey patches.”

Institutions are allowed to have up to two sponsorship patches on jerseys.

Entrata also issued a statement through CEO Adam Edmunds, who said, “Entrata is proud to be a Utah company,” said Adam Edmunds, Entrata CEO, in a written statement. “Much of our team lives here, and we’ve always believed in investing where we are.

This relationship lets us work alongside one of the premier programs in the country. We’re excited to be joining Cougar Nation and play our part in what’s ahead.”

BYU opens the 2026 season on Saturday, September 5, against Utah Tech in Provo.

BYU Fans Know This Name And His Rise Just Got National

John Henry Daleys ascent has gone from familiar to national in a hurry. The senior edge rusher put together a breakout 2025 season at Utah, leading the nation in tackles for loss and earning first-team All-America honors before an Achilles tendon injury cut short his year. For anyone who has followed his path, the production only confirmed what had been building for a while: Daley is the kind of disruptive defender who can change the feel of a game from the edge.

Now at Michigan, Daley is working his way back and aiming to be fully ready for the 2026 season, a timeline that matters even more with the Wolverines facing a demanding schedule. Michigan also needs answers up front after losing its top three defensive linemen to the NFL Draft, which leaves Daley positioned to become one of the most important returning pieces on that side of the ball if his rehab keeps trending in the right direction. BYU Football Just Crossed A Major Branding Line

BYU Athletics has added another modern layer to its football operation with a new multi-year partnership that reaches well beyond the field. The agreement brings in a Utah-based technology company and folds in more than just a logo on a jersey, with the school pointing to in-venue branding, digital activations, fan engagement and community work across the state as part of the package.

The most visible piece will arrive with the 2026 season, when the program is set to debut a jersey patch as part of the deal. For BYU, it is another sign of how college football branding is evolving, and for the program and its partner, the hope is that the relationship builds something that resonates with fans while also carrying a broader impact in Utah.
