BYU fans have a new way to celebrate Cosmo the Cougar’s latest spotlight: a limited-edition bobblehead built around the mascot’s signature ride.
The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum revealed the BYU Cougars Cosmo the Cougar Cosmobile Bobblehead on Friday, timed to BYU’s 28-24 win over Notre Dame and the team’s No. 2 ranking in the country.
“We’re excited to unveil this very unique bobblehead of Cosmo the Cougar and his stylish Cosmobile, which has been a staple on the BYU campus for a quarter century,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said in a statement.
The officially licensed figure shows Cosmo in his Navy blue No. 00 jersey, popping up from the Cosmobile, complete with the BYU logo on the side.
“After BYU’s big victory over Notre Dame, the Cougars and Cosmobile-riding Cosmo are riding sky high so far in the 2026 football season. This bobblehead is a must-have for Cougar fans everywhere and we are sure that BYU supporters will want one for their collection,” Sklar said.
The run is limited to 2,026 bobbleheads, all individually numbered. They are priced at $40 and are available now, with shipment expected in April.
This is the seventh Cosmo bobblehead released by National Bobblehead, but the first to feature the Cosmobile. The earlier versions included the Cosmo Football Jersey Bobblehead, Cosmo Basketball Jersey Bobbleheads, Cosmo Graduation Bobblehead, Cosmo Push-Up Counter Bobblehead, Cosmo Football Top 25 Ranking Tracker Bobblehead and the BYU vs. Utah Football Rivalry Bobblehead.
BYU introduced the Cosmobile in the early 2000s, and it has since been updated with a rooftop dance stage, basketball hoop and siren.
The new release adds to a growing list of Cosmo honors. In August, he was inducted into the Mascot Hall of Fame, according to the Deseret News.

BYU Backfield Suddenly Has A New Spotlight At UCF
A week that looked like it might leave BYU thin in the backfield has taken a turn, with Sione Moa cleared to return after working back from a knee injury. His availability matters even more now because LJ Martin, the Cougars top running back, is still out with an ankle injury and is expected to miss 4 to 6 weeks, forcing BYU to reshuffle its ground game ahead of the trip to UCF.
For a team that has leaned on its backfield for balance, Moas comeback gives BYU at least one more proven option at a position suddenly under pressure. The Cougars will need him and the rest of the backs to absorb a larger workload against an UCF defense that will surely know exactly where the stress point is, even if the exact division of carries remains to be seen. BYU Heads To UCF With A New Problem Opponents Must Solve
Bear Bachmeier helped turn Provo into the center of the college football world on Saturday, and BYU walked away with more than just a signature win. In a 28-24 upset of No. 2 Notre Dame, the Cougars showed they can beat an elite opponent in more than one way, with Bachmeier factoring into the game as a runner, receiver and passer before finding tight end Walker Lyons for the go-ahead score.
The result pushed BYU to 6-0 and lifted the Cougars to No. 2 in the Associated Press poll, but it also added a fresh layer of pressure for the next team to face them. UCF gets the Cougars next, and the challenge now is figuring out how to handle a BYU offense that can create problems from multiple spots on the field while the defense keeps tightening in big moments. BYUs No. 2 Rise Says Everything About Its Portal Impact
At the midpoint of the 2026 season, BYU is sitting at 6-0 and all the way up to No. 2, a climb that says as much about roster building as it does about on-field execution. The Cougars have not just held together through the first half of the schedule, they have upgraded in places that matter most, getting meaningful production from transfer additions who were brought in to stabilize the offense and raise the ceiling.
Walker Lyons has given BYU another presence at tight end, Paki Finau has helped shore up the left side of the line, and Kyler Kasper has been part of the answer at receiver after the program had to replace some major targets from before. The result is a team that looks deeper and more complete than it did a year ago, with the portal giving the Cougars a different kind of identity as the season moves into its second half.
