The Big 12 has laid out the television map for BYU’s 2026-27 basketball seasons, and the Cougars will be visible in plenty of homes when league play starts rolling.
On the men’s side, 17 of BYU’s 18 conference games are set for linear television. Ten of those will land on the ESPN family of networks, with additional appearances scheduled on TNT, FOX and Peacock. Any game not given a TV designation will stream on ESPN+.
The conference slate opens with a stretch that should keep BYU on screens right away. The Cougars will host Ohio State on Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. on FS1, then later face Northwestern at 2 p.m. on Peacock on Dec.
- The nonconference list also includes Utah State on Dec. 9 at 8 p.m. on FS1 and CS-Fullerton on Dec. 12 at 2:30 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.
Once Big 12 play begins, the schedule brings a steady run of national windows. BYU visits Arizona State on Jan. 2 at 8 p.m. on ESPN2, hosts Cincinnati on Jan. 6 at 8:30 p.m. on FS1, and gets Kansas at home on Jan. 9 at 11 a.m. on ESPN. The Cougars then head to Arizona on Jan. 12 at 9 p.m. on ESPN before hosting Utah on Jan. 16 at 8 p.m. on TNT.
Other conference matchups include a Jan. 20 road game at Iowa State on FS1, a Jan. 23 home date with West Virginia on FOX/FS1, and a Jan. 27 trip to TCU on ESPN2/U. BYU will also visit Houston on Jan. 30 at noon on ESPN/2, host Baylor on Feb. 2 at 6 p.m. on FS1, and go to Utah again on Feb. 6 at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN2.
The back half of the schedule stays busy too. BYU hosts Kansas State on Feb. 13 at 1:30 p.m. on FOX, goes to Colorado on Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. on Peacock, welcomes TCU on Feb. 20 at noon on ESPN2, and hosts Arizona on Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. on ESPN. The Cougars then travel to UCF on Feb. 27 at 10 a.m. on ESPN2, host Oklahoma State on March 2 at 7 p.m. on ESPN/2, and finish at Texas Tech on March 5 at 7 p.m. on FS1.
The women’s team will also have a pair of national TV games in 2026-27. BYU’s first comes Jan. 16, 2027, when Oklahoma State visits the Marriott Center for a noon MT tip on CBS Sports Network. A week later, the Cougars head to Fort Worth to face reigning Big 12 regular-season champion TCU on Jan. 23 at 6 p.m. on FS1.
The Big 12 said the women’s schedule will feature 29 nationally televised games across ESPN, FOX and CBS Sports Network. ESPN platforms will also carry the full 2027 Phillips 66 Big 12 Women’s Basketball Tournament at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City.
The event begins Wednesday, March 3, with the championship game set for Sunday, March 7. If BYU reaches the title game, it would be played Monday, March 8.
BYU’s last national TV appearance came Jan. 25, 2025, when it renewed its rivalry with Utah on ESPNU. All other Cougars home games will stream on ESPN+.

BYU Suddenly Has A Notre Dame Backfield Decision To Make
BYU got a notable backfield development this week when second-string running back Sione Moa was medically cleared to play and took part in practice ahead of the matchup with Notre Dame, according to offensive coordinator Aaron Roderick. Moa had been sidelined since suffering a knee injury in the season opener and undergoing surgery in September, so his return after five weeks points to a recovery that appears to have moved faster than many might have expected.
Sione Moas availability still isnt settled, though, and the Cougars are weighing whether he is ready for the physical demands that come with this particular game. For a BYU offense that could use added depth in the backfield, his status adds a real layer of intrigue heading into a high-profile test, with the staff having to decide how much to lean on a player who is back on the field but not yet a sure thing for Saturday. Clayton Young Just Gave BYU Fans A Stunning Reason To Celebrate
Less than a month after nursing a hamstring injury, Clayton Young gave BYU fans plenty to smile about at the Chicago Marathon. The former Cougar delivered a personal best, finished seventh overall and led all Americans in 2:05:23, turning in one of the most eye-catching performances by a U.S. runner in recent memory.
Young came up just short of the American record held by his training partner Conner Mantz, but the bigger story for BYU supporters is how quickly he bounced back and how well he handled the recovery process. He took a cautious route, tested the hamstring in training runs before signing up to race, and then showed he was ready for the biggest stage with a result that should only add to the buzz around the program. BYU Just Landed A Huge Recruiting Opportunity With A Five-Star Wing
BYU is set to get a major look in the recruitment of AJ Williams, one of the top wings in the 2027 class, when the five-star prospect arrives in Provo on October 15. Williams, a 6-foot-7 standout from Eagles Landing Christian Academy, has trimmed his list to 10 schools and already taken several visits, putting the Cougars firmly in the mix at a time when every impression matters.
What makes this trip especially noteworthy is how much momentum BYU appears to have already built in the race for a player ranked No. 5 in his class. No decision date has been announced, but with Williams still weighing a handful of top options and an early signing period looming in November 2026, the Cougars now have a chance to strengthen their standing on the kind of recruit that can change the outlook of a class.
