In the ever-evolving world of the NFL, a familiar name is popping back onto the radar: Odell Beckham Jr. The former All-Pro wide receiver is eyeing a return to the gridiron, and teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers, Buffalo Bills, and Las Vegas Raiders might want to keep their eyes peeled.
Beckham, who recently participated in the Fanatic Flag Football Classic, shared his hopes for a 2026 comeback with Kay Adams. "Looking forward to hopefully getting an opportunity to play this year, and hopefully, this is kinda just a starting point," Beckham remarked.
After sitting out the entire 2025 season, Beckham last took the field in 2024 with the Miami Dolphins, where he managed nine catches for 55 yards over nine games. The year before, he showed flashes of his past brilliance with the Baltimore Ravens, racking up 35 receptions for 565 yards and three touchdowns over 14 games.
While Beckham's prime years may be in the rearview mirror, his potential as a depth asset for teams in need of wide receiver help is undeniable.
Why the Steelers, Bills, and Raiders Should Be Interested
The Steelers have made moves to bolster their receiving corps, notably trading for Michael Pittman Jr. to pair with DK Metcalf. However, beyond these top names, Pittsburgh's depth chart could use a boost.
Beckham has even hinted at past conversations with Aaron Rodgers, the Steelers' projected quarterback for 2026, about joining the team. “I love him, and we’ve had conversations,” Beckham shared on the Club Random Podcast.
With Rodgers expected to return, those talks could very well resume.
Over in Buffalo, the Bills have strengthened their lineup by acquiring DJ Moore. But similar to the Steelers, their depth behind Moore and Khalil Shakir is a bit thin. Beckham could provide that extra layer of security in the receiving game.
Las Vegas, on the other hand, faces uncertainty across their wide receiver lineup. Jalen Nailor is the most notable addition, joining a mix of unproven draft picks like Dont'e Thornton and Jack Bech, along with veteran Tre Tucker. Beckham's experience could be a steadying influence in a largely untested group.
While no one's expecting Beckham to be a game-changer or the primary target, adding a seasoned player like him could be a savvy move for the Steelers, Bills, or Raiders as they look to enhance their depth and versatility on offense.
